Littleton High School is an IB World School with a successful IB Diploma Program and the IB Middle Years Program. We also offer many Advanced Placement courses, a STEM certificate program, and Early High School for accelerated 8th-grade students. As a comprehensive high school in the metro-Denver area, Littleton High School's diverse student population has a variety of opportunities including, academic pathways, athletics and activities, strong support systems, and a positive, inclusive culture. Candidates for this position should have strong instructional leadership skills, excellent communication skills, relationship building skills, facilitation and collaboration skills, computer/technology skills, and a strong desire to join our IB community. This position oversees master schedule development. Responsibilities for this position will include instructional supervision of teachers and staff, student services (discipline, attendance, academic, and mental health support), program management and leadership, supervision of athletic and activity events, budget management, and overall support for the climate and culture of Littleton High School.
Bilingual communication skills preferred.
Essential Duties:Instructional Leadership
Provide leadership for instructional programs, implementing state/District content standards, assessments, and teaching practices to ensure high levels of learning.
Lead the communication, support, and implementation of Unified Improvement Plan (UIP) activities.
School Leadership and Culture
Assist the principal in leading the school community to achieve Littleton Public Schools' goals and priorities.
Help develop and sustain a positive school culture and learning environment for all students and staff.
Administration and Student Services
Manage general administrative student services (e.g., discipline, attendance, academic, and mental health support).
Oversee proper management, maintenance, and improvement of the school site, including facility management and campus security.
Exercise thoughtful decision-making and good judgment across all assigned responsibilities.
Experience:- Minimum of five (5) years experience in teaching and/or school administration.
- Thorough knowledge of level program and methodology
- Effective communication skills with individuals and groups
- Ability to work closely and effectively staff members, classified personnel and community members
- Required: Excellent communication skills, experience working with diverse communities, and a commitment to the IB community.
Education/Licensure:- Masters degree required.
- Hold or be qualified to hold a Colorado principal or administrative license.
- Criminal background check required for hire.
