Litigation Paralegal

Dallas, TX- Hybrid, three days onsite and two days remote

$75,000-$90,000

A well-established Texas-based law firm is seeking an energetic, dependable Litigation Paralegal to join its busy Dallas office. This individual will support a fast-paced defense litigation practice involving personal injury, catastrophic loss, product liability, commercial litigation, and related matters.

The ideal candidate will have strong discovery and file-management experience, excellent research and writing skills, and the ability to exercise sound judgment while working independently and collaboratively. Personal injury or catastrophic-loss defense experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities:

  • Obtain, review, and analyze medical records, financial documents, tax records, employment records, and other case-related information.
  • Prepare detailed medical record chronologies.
  • Assist with trial preparation, including trial notebooks, exhibits, witness files, and supporting materials.
  • Compile evidence and case information from records, discovery documents, transcripts, databases, and other resources.
  • Manage high-volume litigation files and supporting documentation.
  • Coordinate with attorneys, clients, experts, courts, opposing counsel, and internal support teams.
  • Calendar and track discovery deadlines, court dates, and other case-related deadlines.
  • Prepare status reports, case logs, document indexes, and other tracking materials.
  • Draft professional correspondence to clients, experts, courts, and opposing counsel.
  • Research and analyze case issues, medical facts, professional articles, and expert materials.
  • Communicate with expert witnesses and investigate their qualifications, prior testimony, transcripts, publications, and professional experience.


Qualifications:

  • Approximately three to five years of paralegal or litigation-support experience preferred.
  • Personal injury or catastrophic-loss defense experience is a plus, but candidates with other litigation backgrounds will be considered.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university and/or Paralegal Certificate from an ABA-approved program.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Excellent research, analytical, writing, and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong time-management, organizational, and file-management abilities.
  • Ability to manage competing deadlines in a high-volume legal environment.
  • Sound judgment and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Stable professional history and willingness to follow the established hybrid schedule.


Compensation and Benefits:
