About the Job:We are seeking a motivated Litigation Attorney with 4-6 years of civil litigation experience who is eager to take ownership of sophisticated, high-impact matters in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. Our litigation portfolio includes commercial disputes, contract enforcement, business torts, unfair competition, and other complex civil matters. Buffalo Biodiesel is involved in both state and federal litigation.

Responsibilities:- Manage litigation matters from inception through trial and appeal.
- Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests, and other court filings.
- Conduct legal research and prepare strategic analyses.
- Coordinate and oversee e-discovery, document collection, and production.
- Take and defend depositions and prepare witnesses.
- Advise company leadership on litigation strategy, risk assessment, and legal developments.
- Assist with internal investigations and preservation of evidence.
- Support the company's continued growth through proactive legal counseling and enforcement of its contractual and business rights.
Qualifications:- J.D. from an accredited law school and admission to practice in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
- 4-7 years of civil litigation experience.
- Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
- Experience handling matters in federal court strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with commercial litigation and business disputes.
- Experience with or exposure to antitrust law is highly desirable.
- Working knowledge of electronic discovery (e-discovery), including document review platforms, preservation obligations, and discovery strategy.
- Ability to independently manage a litigation docket while collaborating effectively with attorneys, executives, and business personnel.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
This role requires onsite work from 8:00am to 5:00pm. Our offices are located at 17 Court Street, Buffalo, NY 14202.
