Responsibilities

  • Design and develop cloud initiatives to meet customer needs.
  • Manage user accounts and infrastructure requirements.
  • Maintain applications supporting collaboration tools (JIRA, Atlassian, BitBucket, RocketChat).
  • Act as a subject matter expert for network requirements and metrics.
  • Ensure infrastructure patching and OS baseline hardening is performed.
  • Provide Linux support across multiple environments working with Enterprise Services.
  • Support compliance with security services and applications.

Full Job Description
Clearance: TS-SCI w/CI Poly required

Certifications: Current Security+ before start

Level: T2

Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and support cloud initiatives to support customer driven needs
  • Responsible for user account management and infrastructure requirements.
  • Maintain program owned applications in support of a collaborative environment (JIRA, Atlassian, BitBucket, RocketChat)
  • Work as a SME to define network requirements, user metrics, maintenance of our PPSM, and support to development needs.
  • Responsible for infrastructure patching and OS baseline hardening
  • Manage several environments as a Linux SME providing overall support to the program and working with Enterprise Services to ensure compliance with security services and applications.

Requirements
  • Active TS-SCI w/CI Poly Clearance Required
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related discipline plus 2-4 years of professional experience as a Systems Administrator or similar technical role.
  • Proactive self-starter demonstrating a positive, willing attitude and excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Two or more years of experience with Amazon Web Services (S3 Buckets, EC2, Reserved Instances, etc.)
  • Familiar with System Engineering documentation creation (VDDs, network diagrams, data flows, etc.)
  • Experience working with Agile Team Collaboration tools such as (Jira, Confluence, RocketChat)
  • Strong Linux background and familiarity with best practices of infrastructure management

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with AWS and other cloud vendors.
  • Experience with Amazon Web Services technical performance versus cost management
  • Experience with cloud-based architectures
  • Familiar with cross domain architectures at various levels
  • Experience with automated testing and monitoring
  • Experience with Engineering Review Boards and Change Management


MUST BE WILLING TO WORK A PANAMA SHIFT; DAY SHIFT AVAILABLE

Shift Type:
  • Day Shift: 6 AM - 6 PM

Panama Shift Rotation (Two-Week Cycle):

Week 1:
  • Monday: Work
  • Tuesday: Work
  • Wednesday: Off
  • Thursday: Off
  • Friday: Work
  • Saturday: Work
  • Sunday: Work
    Total Hours: 60 hours

Week 2:
  • Monday: Off
  • Tuesday: Off
  • Wednesday: Work
  • Thursday: Work
  • Friday: Off
  • Saturday: Off
  • Sunday: Off
    Total Hours: 24 hours

Total Hours over Two Weeks: 84 hours
  • The site is 100% on site at the Chantilly VA office
    • Or alternate work location if the Chantilly office is undergoing maintenance
  • Engineers work in coordination with at least one other Tier 2
  • We do not flip engineers between day and night, once on a shift they will remain there unless otherwise requested or mission dictates otherwise.
