Job Description:

SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR SME – LINUX

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

System Administration
Install, configure, manage, and maintain Linux systems, including virtualization platforms and cloud computing environments.

Networking
Determine network specifications, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility. Identify, analyze, and resolve network issues.

System Security
In coordination with the ISSO, implement security measures, conduct audits, and ensure compliance with customer security policies.

Collaboration
Partner with software developers and IT stakeholders to support system integration, patch workflows, and maintenance activities.

Automation
Develop and maintain scripts and automation tools that reduce manual effort and increase operational efficiency.

Patch Management
Maintain systems with software updates, patches, and upgrades while validating functionality and compatibility.

Documentation
Create and update system documentation including configurations, processes, and procedures.

The likely salary range for this position is $170,000 - $230,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
