Full Job Description
Role Introduction

We are looking for an individual to join our Customer Travel and Lifestyle Team in Vancouver. The successful individual will work with the Regional Head of Customer Travel & Lifestyle, the local Cathay Pacific team, and head office to grow the lifestyle business in local market.

Coordination with Local Team
  • Work with local Cathay Pacific teams including digital sales, marketing, and business development to expand Cathay's travel and lifestyle propositions to local markets.
  • Take the lead in driving partner campaigns that require collaboration with other Cathay departments.

Legal Compliance
  • Work with legal team in headquarters and local legal counsel to operate the lifestyle business with compliance to local business and legal requirements and facilitate the application of necessary licenses if needed.

E&A
  • Emergency and Accident and Crisis Response responsibilities as required.


Key Responsibilities

Business Strategy & Planning
  • Formulate and drive business strategy with alignment with head office to meet the agreed lifestyle objectives, support lifestyle priorities and achieve the lifestyle growth and revenue targets.
  • Manage relationship with partners and support operational requirements including commercial term negotiation, responding to partner enquiries and contracting, and w ork closely with IT team on necessary integrations f or partn e rship onboarding.
  • Monitor and review business performance to meet strategic growth plan .
  • Propose new ideas and areas of improvement based on own knowledge of local market, research and available consumer insights and lead change to support future business strategy.
  • Control and monitor the relevant budget expenditures within the lifestyle.

Lifestyle Partnerships
  • Develop regional partnerships under the key lifestyle pillars, prioritising the finance pillar, while simultaneously developing l lifestyle partners such as Cathay cobranded credit cards proposition or Cathay membership benefits for members within the region.
  • Curate a network of partners to engage Cathay members through accrual and redemption propositions.
  • Identify and negotiate commercial offers for marketing promotion and campaigns to increase awareness of local partner propositions.
  • Develop a cross-border integration strategy for partners operating across both the USA and Canada.

Finance Pillar Focus
  • End-to-end management and servicing of cobranded credit card partnerships in the USA and Canada, primarily focusing on card acquisition, while also exploring appropriate lifestyle benefits / propositions to form part of the Cathay cobranded credit card value proposition.
  • Own regular performance reporting for finance partners, including card acquisition, portfolio growth, activation, engagement, attrition, mileage sales, marketing revenue and campaign return on investment.
  • Monitor partner profitability and commercial performance against agreed business plans, ensuring activity is prioritized toward the highest-value growth opportunities.
  • Coordinate with local marketing, digital and business development teams to ensure finance partner campaigns are delivered on time, measured effectively and optimised against agreed KPIs.
  • Ensure all cobrand card targets are met including card acquisition, attrition, engagement, mileage sales and marketing revenue.
  • Ensure adherence to operational account management standards, including contracting, invoicing, and customer-service handling.
  • End-to-end management and servicing of a multitude of Asia Miles conversion partners with a focus on campaign curation and oversight of campaign execution
  • Lead quarterly business reviews with key finance partners, supported by clear performance insights, agreed action plans and follow-up tracking.
  • Regular reporting of account performance to the Head of Banking & Payment Partnerships and Head of Customer Travel and Lifestyle
  • Translate data and customer insights into practical recommendations for partner strategy, campaign planning, proposition development and commercial negotiations.
  • Monitor the performance of partner propositions across acquisition, engagement, redemption, revenue and profitability metrics, and recommend actions to improve results.

Requirements

Academic qualifications
  • University Degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience is required
  • Certification in business, airline or a related field is an advantage

Knowledge, Skills, Training and Experience
  • Minimum 7 years' relevant working experience, of which at least 3 years in a managerial position
  • Relevant experience in loyalty, banking, e-commerce, or marketing
  • Strong commercial and entrepreneurial mindset with good understanding of loyalty and rewards
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Good marketing sense, good grasp and understanding of consumer insights.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in both English.
  • Good team player and strong interpersonal skills, creative, dynamic, and innovative
  • Independent, detail-oriented, and able to work under pressure and meet tight deadline

Additional Requirements
  • Must successfully pass reference checks
  • Must have the permanent legal right to live and work in Canada (The company will not sponsor work authorization or immigration applications for this position)
  • Must be willing and able to sit for long periods of time
  • Must be willing and able to travel within North America and overseas, as required
