You will be joining the ecobee marketing team, reporting to the Sr Director of Digital and Lifecycle Marketing. In partnership with another CRM Lifecycle Marketing Manager on the team, you will own the end-to-end customer relationship management portfolio, from strategy to execution. This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of strategy, analytics, and creative execution.
This role follows a hybrid schedule, with in-office work required on Wednesdays and Thursdays to support collaboration, and flexibility to work remotely for the remainder of the week.
How You’ll Make an Impact:
Strategy and ownership: In partnership with another Lifecycle Marketing Manager on the team, you’ll own the portfolio strategy across the full customer journey, and drive growth in customer lifetime value through hardware sales and subscription services
Campaign development and execution: You’ll design campaign strategies, optimize and ship multi-channel programs (email, in-app, push) across the customer journey. You’ll identify opportunities to build automated nurture journeys based on behavioural and transactional triggers
Testing and Optimization: develop and execute testing roadmap to refine messaging, timing, segmentation and UX to optimize engagement and conversion rates
Segmentation and Personalization: Create segments using behavioural, demographic and event-based data, and personalize message content to enhance relevance and performance
Analytics and reporting: Analyze campaign performance, proactively report on campaign performance and key insights to stakeholders and leadership
Cross-functional collaboration: partner with a variety of teams across the ecobee and Generac organization - Marketing, Product, Sales, Customer Support, Creative, and Analytics to create seamless, personalized customer experiences
Customer Centric: you’ll champion the voice of the customer and ensure communications to existing customers drive value and advocacy. You’ll partner with the internal creative team to design and develop messaging for lifecycle campaigns
What You’ll Bring to the Table:
4+ years of experience in lifecycle or customer base marketing/CRM
Proven track record of building customer lifecycle programs from scratch that drive measurable impact on customer LTV
Growth mindset and entrepreneurial spirit with a bias toward action and experimentation
Strong proficiency in CRM best practices and marketing automation technology (e.g. Salesforce Marketing Cloud, or other enterprise level CRM and email marketing tools)
Proficiency in HTML and SQL is required to build, segment, and deploy data-driven lifecycle campaigns, while working knowledge of CSS and AMPscript is considered an asset for advanced email styling and dynamic personalization
Strong analytical skills, comfortable business casing new opportunities, forecasting growth, and measuring campaign performance
Strong understanding of segmentation, personalization, and marketing automation
Strong understanding of email list management, deliverability and compliance requirements and legislations such as CASL, CAN-SPAM and GDPR
Demonstrated experience using tools such as Figma, FigJam, Miro, or similar collaboration platforms to visually design and communicate lifecycle strategies. This includes building journey maps, campaign frameworks, and email briefs that clearly articulate objectives, audience segmentation, messaging, and executional requirements.

Excellent project management skills and ability to lead and manage a project from inception to completion
Experience or curiosity about AI tools to enhance personalization, automation and performance is highly valued
Experience and passion for Consumer Technology, e-commerce and subscription-based businesses is an asset

Final: 60-min case study presentation with members of the Lifecycle and Marketing leadership team to review case study response to real business challenge
Generac is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The target salary range for this role, based in Toronto, Ontario, is between $86,000 - $120,000 CAD. This compensation will ultimately be in line with the location in which the position is filled. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate’s relevant work experience, skills, certifications and geographic location.
This role is eligible for variable compensation, including short-term and long-term incentives. This position includes a comprehensive benefit package that includes medical, dental and vision plans; life, long-term disability, flexible spending and health savings accounts, accrued paid time off, paid Holidays (10 for Ontario) and RRSP retirement benefits.
