Full Job Description
About the role

Forus partners with the world's leading biopharma companies to accelerate access to therapy and bring new treatments to market more effectively. As a Life Sciences Strategy Lead, you will help build and scale one of the most important parts of Forus' business.

You will own strategic relationships with life sciences partners, develop new opportunities for growth, and help define how we bring new products, services, and partnerships to market. You will work directly with senior stakeholders, shape commercial strategy, influence product direction, and play a central role in expanding our business over time.

This is a demanding role, with a high level of autonomy and responsibility. You will be expected to "act like an owner" and commit yourself to Forus' success. If you are low-ego, hungry to learn, and excited about intense, impactful work that drives both company growth and accelerated career progression, we want to hear from you.

If you join, you will:
  • Own the growth, strategy, and long-term success of a portfolio of our most important life sciences partnerships
  • Develop a deep understanding of partner objectives and identify opportunities to expand relationships through new products, therapeutic areas, and commercial initiatives
  • Help define partnership models, pricing approaches, commercial strategy, and new offerings as we continue to scale the business
  • Partner closely with engineering and operations teams to shape roadmap priorities and bring new capabilities to market
  • Lead complex, cross-functional initiatives that drive measurable impact for partners and contribute to company growth
  • Explore, evaluate, and execute on new opportunities for the company, including strategic partnerships and new products
  • Work closely with the rest of our team and CEO to make business decisions as we balance speed of growth and long-term profitability

We'll be most excited if you have:
  • 2-10 years of experience working on a team that required structured problem-solving and executive engagement (e.g., consulting, business development, investing, business operations)
  • Commercial instincts and comfort evaluating business opportunities, tradeoffs, and growth strategies
  • Comfort working with data and technical teams (at minimum the role requires learning SQL and low-code tools)
  • Strong written and verbal communication that allows you to be an effective participant in both internal debates and external relationships
  • Track record of moving quickly, finding shortcuts, and going to unreasonable lengths to deliver on goals
  • High NPS with your former teammates

This is a list of ideal qualifications for this position. If you don't meet every single one of them, you should still consider applying! We're excited to work with people from underrepresented backgrounds, and we encourage people from all backgrounds to apply.

We provide competitive compensation with meaningful equity (for full-time employees). Everyone who joins will be a major contributor to our success, and we reflect this through ownership and pay.
