Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited LPN education program with 2-3 years of recent acute care surgical experience.
• Active registration with the British Columbia College of Nursing Professionals.
• Completed perioperative nursing program from a recognized institution.
• Criminal record check required within the month prior to hire.
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS-HCP) certification.
• Ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent organizational, assessment, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the second circulator in the operating room alongside the first circulator RN.
• Stand scrubbed for extended periods, meeting the physical demands of the role.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure seamless patient care.
• Adhere strictly to infection control and medication storage procedures.
• Document all aspects of patient care accurately in medical records.
• Maintain confidentiality and protect patient operations.
• Assist in orienting and supporting new staff members.
