Required Qualifications: Completion of an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse education program. Active, or eligible for, registration and a practice permit as a Licensed Practical Nurse with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses and Health Care Aides of Alberta (CLHA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications: Active registration and practice permit with CLPNA with Advanced Practice authorization for Perioperative Nursing. Operating Room experience within the past 2 years. Completion of a Peri-operative nursing course. Ability to wear lead and/or stand scrubbed for prolonged periods of time. Ability to work on-call and respond within 30 minutes.
Preferred Qualifications: Connect Care Experience - OpTime. 2 years continuous Operating Room experience in both the scrub and circulating role. Acute care experience within the past 5 years. Peri-operative Nursing Certification. PALS Certification. Ability to perform consistently in a highly organized, rapid moving, complex environment. Ability to collaborate within the expectations of a highly complex integrated team. Demonstrated advanced problem-solving skills integrating critical thinking and good judgement.
