Licensed Practical Nurse/Licensed Vocational Nurse (LPN) Rehabilitation 
Job Type: Full-time / 3x12s / Night Shift
Wage scale:  $32.00 - $47.10 per hour
This is a Union position.

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at Virginia Mason Franciscan Health Rehabilitation Hospital provides patient care services that meet the psychosocial, physical and general aspects of care; meets the communication needs of patient and family; provides care that reflects initiative and responsibility indicative of professional expectations, under the supervision of a registered nurse.

  • 12 Hour Shifts
  • No Call Required

How you’ll contribute

You’ll make an impact by utilizing your specialized plan-of-care intervention and serving as a patient-care innovator. You will shape exceptional patient journeys every day and leverage your skills and our cutting-edge technology to directly impact patient wellbeing. . A Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) who excels in this role: 

  • Administer medications safely, accurately, and based on patient age and clinical condition.
  • Minimize potential for medication errors by following proper medication administration procedures.
  • Assist the RN with initial assessments and patient reassessments per policy.
  • Identify and implement appropriate rehabilitation nursing interventions.
  • Perform timely and accurate Quality Improvement (QI) assessments under RN supervision.
  • Deliver care based on patient response to treatment and update the interdisciplinary plan accordingly.
  • Assess and reassess pain; use appropriate pain management techniques and educate patients and families.
  • Perform all patient care tasks in a manner that promotes patient safety and reduces medical errors.
  • Develop and implement individualized teaching plans based on patient and family learning needs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 

What we're looking for 

Graduate of accredited licensed practical/vocational nurse program and current state licensure as Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse. Additional requirements include:

  • CPR/BCLS certification. ACLS preferred. 
  • IV Certified highly preferred. 
  • Minimum six months’ Medical/Surgical experience in an acute care setting preferred.
