  • Administer medications when appropriately authorized
  • Prescribe medications through physician delegation under direct order or approved medical directive
  • Identify and escalate abnormal findings to the supervising physician
  • Document assessments and follow-up in the EMR
  • Assist with clinical procedures when appropriately trained and authorized

Full Job Description
Position Summary

We are seeking a Licensed Clinical Assistant to join our growing team. This role reports directly to the Medical Director and will work primarily out of our Oakville clinic, with flexibility to provide occasional coverage at our Etobicoke or Brampton locations as required.

In this position, you will work collaboratively with Physicians, Fertility Nurses, Sonographers, Lab Technicians, Medical Office Administrators, and the full healthcare team to provide personalized, compassionate care to our fertility patients. The Physician Assistant will integrate medical knowledge, patient education, and care coordination, while supporting both initial assessments and ongoing fertility treatments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Obtain and document patient medical and fertility histories.
  • Perform Clinical Assessments
  • Conduct appropriate in-person and virtual patient follow-ups.
  • Review laboratory, ultrasound and diagnostic results, convey results to the supervising doctor.
  • Communicate physician- approved treatment plans and results to patients.

  • Perform controlled acts only when appropriately delegated by an authorized physician.
  • Identify and escalate abnormal, critical or unexpected findings to the supervising physician.
  • Document assessments, delegated care, treatment instructions and follow-up in the EMR
  • Assist with clinical procedures when appropriately trained, competent and authorized.
