Position Summary:

Why this role matters
You'll be Jess's right hand (and sometimes her left), making sure every file is on track, every detail is dialed in, and every client gets an exceptional experience. You'll have the autonomy to run point on a lot of moving parts while knowing you've got the full support of a team that's got your back.

Essential Duties:
  • This is a fully remote position
  • Keep multiple files moving through origination, processing, underwriting, and closing. On time, every time
  • Evaluate loan scenarios to match borrowers with the right product
  • Work directly with borrowers, agents, and partners, keeping everyone informed and confident
  • Review, prep, and package complete loan applications
  • Spot potential issues early and solve them before they become problems
  • Calculate income (yes, even the tricky self-employed stuff)
  • Review credit and look for improvement opportunities when needed
  • Lock loans when directed and ensure all compliance boxes are checked
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date files in Encompass
  • Jump in on marketing and relationship-building efforts when needed
  • Do all of the above while keeping your cool, staying organized, and having a little fun along the way
  • Participates in Homeowners internal meetings and required trainings
  • Maintains a professional image and demonstrates an understanding of and follows all Homeowners Policies and Procedures
  • Other duties as assigned


Requirements

Qualifications:
  • Active NMLS license (non-negotiable)
  • 3+ years in mortgage lending (processing, origination, title, escrow, or underwriting)
  • A knack for juggling a high-volume pipeline without dropping the ball
  • Strong knowledge of FNMA, FHA, VA, RD, and SAFE Act guidelines
  • Comfort with Encompass, Optimal Blue, DU, LP, and Microsoft Office
  • A problem-solver who anticipates needs and takes initiative
  • Someone who loves being the go-to person to make sure nothing slips through the cracks
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong customer service skills to internal and external customers
  • Ability to develop positive relationships
  • Exceptional organization and time management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be able to implement written procedures
  • Independent, self-starting, team player with a positive attitude
