Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)

Job Summary

A full-time opportunity is available for a North Carolina Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist to provide remote therapy services. This position involves working with clients through telehealth sessions and supporting them with concerns such as relationship strain, family stress, emotional regulation, grief, anxiety, parenting challenges, and major life adjustments.

The LMFT will be responsible for providing clinically appropriate care, maintaining clear treatment records, and helping clients work toward measurable therapeutic goals. This role is well suited for a therapist who values professionalism, consistency, and effective remote client care.

Responsibilities
  • Provide scheduled online therapy sessions for clients located in North Carolina
  • Support clients across individual, couples, and family therapy needs
  • Complete intake evaluations and ongoing clinical assessments
  • Develop treatment goals based on client needs and presenting concerns
  • Apply appropriate therapy techniques related to family systems and relational health
  • Track client progress and revise care plans when needed
  • Complete documentation, progress notes, and treatment updates in a timely manner
  • Maintain client privacy and follow HIPAA-compliant telehealth practices
  • Recognize clinical concerns that may require referrals, safety planning, or additional support

Requirements
  • Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field
  • Active and unrestricted LMFT license in North Carolina
  • Previous experience providing therapy to individuals, couples, and/or families
  • Strong understanding of family systems, relational therapy, and ethical clinical practice
  • Comfortable providing services through telehealth platforms
  • Experience with EHR systems and clinical documentation
  • Reliable internet connection and a private workspace for remote sessions
