About the role

The Liaison Officer (LNO) supporting a team within the Department of War, serves as a critical link between operational units, government agencies, stakeholders, and program leadership. This role ensures the smooth exchange of information, synchronization of mission priorities, and alignment of operational and analytical requirements across diverse organizations. The Liaison Officer enhances mission effectiveness by facilitating communication, supporting coordination efforts, and ensuring that operational insights and intelligence considerations are integrated into planning and execution activities. The position requires discretion, strong interpersonal skills, and an understanding of the unique demands associated with SOF and IC environments.

What you'll do

Performs foundational coordination and communication functions under the guidance of senior staff. Responsibilities include supporting meeting preparation, maintaining contact lists, distributing information to designated personnel, documenting discussions, and assisting in the exchange of operational or programmatic updates. Additional duties include observing coordination processes, learning mission terminology, and developing familiarity with organizational structures within the SOF and IC communities. The Tier I role focuses on building baseline competency in communication protocols, security procedures, and interagency coordination practices.

The pay range for this position is between $130,000 and $165,000 per year. This position is benefits-eligible.
