Full Job Description

Job Summary

Coordinates, manages, and provides comprehensive oversight for the procurement, integration, testing, and installation of RCS systems, specifically on LHA (Landing Helicopter Assault) platforms. Brings a strong technical background in RF systems along with excellent problem-solving abilities and a collaborative mindset. May require working in dynamic industrial environments aboard Navy platforms.

Telework is not supported. Requires travel to various shipyards, installation sites, or vendor locations.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Project Oversight: Coordinates, manages, and oversees the full lifecycle of RCS systems on LHA platforms, from initial procurement through to final integration, testing, and installation.
  • System Integration & Testing: Ensures that all radio communications are properly integrated and rigorously tested to meet operational and technical standards.
  • Troubleshooting: Oversees contractor diagnoses, troubleshooting, and resolution of complex technical issues related to RF systems and communication suites during installation and testing phases.
  • Technical Documentation: Reads and interprets complex technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to ensure accurate system installation and compliance.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Works closely with engineering teams, project managers, vendors, and installation crews to ensure project milestones are met on time and within scope.
  • Positive Attitude: Brings a "can-do", positive attitude to the workplace and remains adaptable in dynamic, fast-paced environments.
  • Communication: Possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly to diverse teams.

Qualifications and Skills

Required knowledge and years of experience

Must have at least ten (10) years of experience supporting U.S. Navy Shipboard C5I or electronic systems installations, Experience troubleshooting complex integrated shipboard systems. Must have experience conducting shipboard surveys, installation assessments, and technical evaluations. Must have trong written and verbal communication skills w/the ability to interface effectively with Government customers, shipyard personnel, engineers, and program management. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications,

Education Requirements

Associate degree in Electronics, Engineering Technology, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline preferred. Relevant military experience or equivalent technical experience may be substituted for formal education.
