Basic Job Functions:

Nucor Steel West Virginia is seeking a Level 2 Process Automation Engineer. The Process Automation Engineer will work alongside the maintenance and operations teams to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the plant. While working as part of the process automation team, the engineer will lead by example with respect to safety, reliability, quality, costs, process improvement, and project management. The engineer should be familiar with some of the above and also possess enough working knowledge with different computer communication protocols to troubleshoot and implement system interfaces if needed. The engineer should not only be able to understand the underlying technology making up the level 2 system, but also be willing and able to learn the sheet steel making process to aid in analyzing and solving process problems.

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
