  • Goal-oriented, resilient, and self-motivated, with the determination to meet or exceed contributor acquisition goals
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English; proficiency in additional languages is an advantage
  • Ability to communicate with both business and technical audiences and to translate complex data concepts into clear, practical language
  • Consultative discovery skills, including the ability to identify business needs, data availability, decision criteria, and potential implementation barriers
  • Confidence delivering presentations and demonstrations to prospective contributors and stakeholders at different levels of an organization
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships across client and prospect organizations while managing multiple opportunities and follow-up commitments
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and consistent CRM discipline; Salesforce experience is preferred
  • Comfort working with data-oriented concepts; familiarity with accounts receivable, credit, collections, trade payment data, data contribution, or financial information is preferred
  • Basic understanding of artificial intelligence concepts, with curiosity and enthusiasm for learning how AI tools can be used to improve processes and drive efficiency. Interest in exploring AI systems and a willingness to develop awareness of responsible AI practices, including risk management and ethical use

Education
  • Undergraduate or first-level degree (for example, a bachelor's degree) or equivalent relevant professional experience
  • Experience in inside sales, business development, data acquisition, contributor recruitment, financial information, credit, collections, or a related field is preferred
  • Experience managing a multi-stage pipeline and coordinating with operational or technical teams is preferred

Responsibilities

The Inside Sales Rep - Pulse manages the full contributor acquisition cycle, from initial outreach through onboarding and the first successful data submission, to expand the Pulse trade payment database.
  • Identify and engage prospective data contributors whose accounts receivable or trade payment information may strengthen Pulse coverage
  • Conduct outbound prospecting by telephone, email, virtual meetings, referrals, and other approved channels to build and maintain a healthy contributor pipeline
  • Qualify opportunities by understanding the prospect's business, available data, technical readiness, decision process, and potential fit with Pulse participation requirements
  • Explain the Pulse contributor value proposition clearly and accurately, including how contributed data supports trade payment insights and how participants may use the solution
  • Deliver high-level presentations and detailed demonstrations tailored to business, credit, collections, finance, and technical stakeholders
  • Build relationships across prospect organizations, including business sponsors, data owners, and technology contacts, to maintain momentum and resolve barriers
  • Partner with Data Operations, Data Quality, Customer Success, Product, Legal, Compliance, and other internal teams to support due diligence, file mapping, data transfer, onboarding, and issue resolution
  • Maintain complete and accurate records of outreach, meetings, opportunity stages, next steps, risks, and outcomes in Salesforce or other approved systems
  • Meet or exceed individual activity, pipeline, onboarding, and contributor acquisition goals aligned with Pulse and Data Estate priorities
  • Provide market feedback on prospect needs, objections, data availability, competitive considerations, and process improvement opportunities
  • Follow Moody's policies and applicable requirements for responsible data handling, confidentiality, information security, compliance, and responsible use of AI-enabled tools

About the Team

The Pulse team is part of the Data Estate business within Moody's Analytics. The team expands and supports a contributory trade payment data asset by developing relationships with organizations that can provide relevant accounts receivable and payment experience data. Working closely with commercial, customer success, data operations, data quality, product, legal, compliance, and technology partners, the team is focused on growing the contributor network and supporting dependable data onboarding. By joining this team, you will contribute to meaningful data initiatives that drive real insight and leverage modern, AI-enabled practices to enhance how Moody's understands and delivers trade payment intelligence.

For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $65,600.00 - $95,150.00, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation. Moody's also offers a competitive benefits package, including not but limited to medical, dental, vision, parental leave, paid time off, a 401(k) plan with employee and company contribution opportunities, life, disability, and accident insurance, a discounted employee stock purchase plan, and tuition reimbursement.
