Job Title:Lessons Learned Analyst

Job Summary:

KBR is seeking a Lessons Learned Analyst to support United States Space Force (USSF) operations at Peterson Space Force Base, Colorado Springs, CO. This position provides direct, on-site support to Combat Forces Command (CFC), supporting the full lessons learned lifecycle-discovery, validation, resolution, evaluation, and dissemination to inform senior leader decision-making across the DOTMLPF-P framework. The analyst works as part of an integrated government-contractor team, coordinating with senior leaders, operational units, and mission partners. U.S. Citizenship and an active TS/SCI clearance are required.

Responsibilities:
  • Plan and execute activities supporting the Combat Forces Command (CFC) Lessons Learned Program.
  • Support the full lifecycle of the CFC Lessons Learned Program (discovery, validation, resolution, evaluation, and dissemination).
  • Manage LL records within authorized systems, including the Joint Lessons Learned Information System (JLLIS) and USSF equivalents; maintain taxonomy, metadata, and data quality.
  • Track validated recommendations from assignment through closure, coordinating owners, timelines, and success measures.
  • Design and administer collection instruments (observation intake forms, AAR prompts, interview guides, surveys) for exercises, operations, and organizational activities.• Serve as a subject matter expert on lessons learned methods and analytical approaches.
  • Coordinate with CFC staff, Space Deltas, Field Commands, and Crisis Action Teams.
  • Develop and brief lessons learned studies, staff papers, and decision-support products.
  • Represent CFC in internal and external lessons learned forums.
  • Lead or participate in after-action reporting and joint lessons learned activities
  • Integrate lessons learned into doctrine, training, wargames, and professional military education.
  • Prepare senior leader briefings and written reports.
  • Work in secure environments including a SCIF.


Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of lessons learned and after-action reporting processes and doctrine.
  • Familiarity with USSF missions and operations.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • U.S. Citizenship with active TS/SCI clearance.


Desired Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in a relevant field
  • Joint or Service-level lessons learned experience.
  • Hands-on JLLIS experience or other LL tools
  • Prior military staff / Action Officer experience (joint or Service staff).
  • AAR facilitation experience.
  • Operational USSF/space domain background.
  • Executive-level briefing experience.
  • 10+ years of experience


Work Environment:
  • Location: On site
  • Travel Requirements: Minimal
  • Working Hours: Standard, 40 hours per week (Full-time)


Compensation:
  • For Colorado only, the salary range for this position is approximately $115,000 - $128,000. The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.


Other Compensation:

KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of sign on bonus, relocation benefits, short term incentives, long term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
