Full Job Description
Roblox is seeking a Legal Operations Technology Specialist to drive operational excellence and innovation across our Legal & Advocacy Team. This role reports to the Director, Commercial Contracts and focuses on managing technology implementation, vendor relationships, financial operations, and team development, with an emphasis on evaluating and deploying AI tools to enhance team efficiency.

You Will:

Operations & AI Technology
  • Identify and implement technologies for process optimization, with focus on AI applications for legal workflows
  • Evaluate AI-powered legal tools (contract review, research automation, document generation, e-discovery) for fit and ROI
  • Lead AI tool pilots, gather feedback, and measure impact on productivity and cost savings
  • Train team members on new tools and establish protocols balancing automation with lawyer review
  • Document workflows and create standard operating procedures

Financial & Vendor Management
  • Identify actionable insights and analytics within the L&A Team to help the team manage budgets, including forecasting, spend tracking, and implementing software applications
  • Develop data-driven benchmarking and analysis for practice areas and project types
  • Oversee full lifecycle of outside counsel management, including onboarding, billing, evaluation, and optimization
  • Manage end-to-end e-billing operations, including system administration, training, and reviewing and reconciling invoices across e-billing and payment systems
  • Collaborate with team members to identify preferred outside counsel resources to handle projects and matters

Team Development & Engagement
  • Coordinate various L&A Team events, memberships, CLE credit courses, conferences, summer associate programs, pro-bono efforts, etc.
  • Develop and execute training programs on new technologies, systems, and operational best practices

You Have:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 6+ years of combined legal operations, data analytics, technology implementation, and related experience
  • Experience with legal tech operations, e-billing tools and vendor management
  • Working knowledge of AI solutions in professional settings; familiarity with generative AI (ChatGPT, Claude)
  • Experience evaluating or implementing legal technology tools (contract lifecycle management, legal research, document automation, e-discovery)
  • Ability to assess AI tools for fit, risk, and ROI
  • Track record of driving technology adoption and creating training materials
  • Proficiency with e-billing platforms, GSuite, Claude, Glean, Airtable, GC-AI, and DocuSign
  • Strong data analysis and spreadsheet skills; ability to build dashboards, retrieve reports, and track KPIs

The actual base pay is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs and market demand. Therefore, in some circumstances, the actual salary could fall outside of this expected range. This pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. All full-time employees are also eligible for equity compensation and for benefits as described on this page.

Annual Salary Range

$211,760-$252,210 USD

Roles that are based in an office are onsite Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with optional presence on Monday and Friday (unless otherwise noted).
