A leading digital streaming network seeks a Legal Operations Lead, Rate & Vendor Management to oversee outside counsel rate management, invoice review, vendor operations, and legal technology processes, and to ensure accurate billing, optimize legal operations, maintain data integrity, and support process improvements and transformation initiatives.

Legal Operations Lead, Rate & Vendor Management Responsibilities:
  • Manage outside counsel and vendor rate cards, review and approve timekeeper rate requests, maintain billing arrangements and vendor records, support panel optimization and rate harmonization initiatives, and ensure compliance with internal policies and billing guidelines.
  • Oversee high-volume invoice review and approval processes, validate billing accuracy throughout the invoice lifecycle, resolve billing and rate inquiries, coordinate with outside counsel and internal stakeholders, manage accruals, and partner with Accounts Payable to ensure timely invoice processing and payment.
  • Support legal technology platforms, including eBilling and matter management systems, maintain system data integrity, assist with system enhancements and integrations, and collaborate with Legal, Finance, IT, and Procurement teams to improve operational efficiency.
  • Perform reporting, data analysis, reconciliations, ad hoc reporting, data cleanup, and process documentation while leveraging Excel and reporting tools to identify trends, support decision-making, and drive operational improvements.
  • Participate in legal operations transformation initiatives by identifying automation opportunities, recommending process improvements, supporting change management activities, and independently managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Legal Operations Lead, Rate & Vendor Management Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in legal operations, outside counsel management, rate management, vendor management, or a related role within a corporate legal department or law firm.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience managing outside counsel rate cards, high-volume invoice review and approval processes, end-to-end legal invoice lifecycles, work in progress (WIP), accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing compliance, and timekeeper rate management.
  • Hands-on experience with legal eBilling and matter management platforms such as CounselLink, Collaborati, TeamConnect, eCounsel, or similar systems, along with experience using Oracle, SAP, or comparable ERP platforms.
  • Strong analytical skills with advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, formulas, and reporting; experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar reporting tools is preferred.

Shift:
  • 9:00 am to 6:00 pm, or 9:30 am or 10:00 am.
