The Opportunity

Join our Legal Affairs team and play a key role supporting major infrastructure, energy, and environmental projects across Canada. As Legal Counsel, you will directly influence business outcomes by guiding contract strategy, mitigating risk, and supporting impactful projects that shape communities nationwide.

Your Impact
  • Provide legal support for the negotiation, drafting, and interpretation of complex contracts across ERI and E&E sectors
  • Deliver timely, practical legal advice to project teams throughout the full project lifecycle
  • Advise internal stakeholders on legal, commercial, and risk-related matters
  • Draft and review legal documents, including contract templates and client agreements
  • Support bid processes by reviewing RFPs and contributing to service proposals
  • Assess project risks and present findings to internal risk committees for approval
  • Ensure compliance with corporate governance, policies, and applicable laws and regulations
  • Collaborate with Claims & Litigation teams on disputes and contractual matters

The Skills That Set You Apart
  • Member in good standing of a Canadian provincial Bar with minimum 3 years' experience
  • Proven experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial agreements in construction and/or engineering environments
  • Strong understanding of risk management and business fundamentals
  • Experience with major project delivery models (EPCM, design-build, partnerships) is an asset
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex legal concepts
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and multitasking abilities
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary stakeholders
  • Bilingualism (French and English) is an asset

Compensation:

AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $98,800 - $130,800
MB & ON: $90,100 - $124,100
NB, NL, NS, PE & QC: $89,200 - $118,500
