Qualifications

• JD from an ABA-accredited law school; admitted to practice in at least one U.S. jurisdiction, in good standing.
• 2-7 years of relevant legal experience, either in a law firm, in-house, or combined.
• Strong business judgment with the ability to provide practical, solution-oriented legal advice.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities independently in a complex, fast-moving environment.
• Experience in commercial contracting, compliance, or corporate matters strongly preferred.
• Litigation background is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide proactive legal guidance on employment and labor law, corporate governance, and operational compliance across the US and Canada.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with local and international legal requirements.
• Lead negotiations of customer and vendor contracts, protecting SLB's interests while enabling business growth.
• Manage disputes, regulatory inquiries, and litigation, coordinating with outside counsel and internal stakeholders.
• Champion SLB's Ethics & Compliance program, including anti-corruption and data privacy initiatives.
• Conduct compliance investigations and foster a culture of integrity in the region.
• Provide legal support for corporate governance, M&A activities, regulatory filings, and government relations.
