  • Conduct compliance investigations and foster a culture of integrity in the region.
  • Provide legal support for corporate governance, M&A activities, regulatory filings, and government relations.

The Role

We are looking for a talented and business-minded attorney to join our legal team as Regional Legal Counsel for the US and Canada. This is a high-visibility, high-impact role embedded within a dynamic regional business team, where you will serve as a trusted advisor to senior leaders across multiple business functions.

You will be the go-to legal partner for the region - handling everything from complex commercial transactions and compliance matters to litigation management and corporate governance. What You Will Do

Day-to-Day Legal Support
  • Provide proactive and practical legal guidance on employment and labor law, corporate governance, and operational compliance across the US and Canada.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with local and international legal requirements.

Commercial & Contracting
  • Lead and support negotiations of customer, vendor, and other commercial contracts, ensuring SLB's interests are protected while enabling business growth.

Dispute Resolution & Litigation
  • Manage disputes, regulatory inquiries, and litigation matters, coordinating with outside counsel and internal stakeholders to mitigate legal and business risk.

Compliance & Ethics
  • Champion SLB's Ethics & Compliance program, including anti-corruption, trade controls, and data privacy initiatives.
  • Conduct compliance investigations and support a culture of integrity throughout the region.

Corporate & Regulatory
  • Provide legal support for corporate governance, entity management, M&A activity, government relations, and regulatory filings within the region.

Outside Counsel Management
  • Oversee the engagement, quality, and cost-effectiveness of outside legal counsel.

Business Growth
  • Identify and support legal frameworks for new business opportunities and growth initiatives in the region.
