Be a part of a team of Contract Managers and Legal Counsels, crafting the energy landscape of the future. In this role, you will support Siemens Gamesa's Wind Power Onshore business by handling contractual matters in project execution. This includes analyzing contracts, identifying risks, negotiating agreements, proactive claims management, developing claims and execution strategies and advising project, operations and site management on large scale Wind Power projects in North America and Canada.

Relocation will not be offered for this role.

How You'll Make an Impact
• Supporting operation teams and project managers in contractual and commercial matters such as interpretation of contracts, change order processes, contractual amendments, settlements and reviewing and drafting relevant correspondence.
• Participating in internal project review meetings and similar events and advising management on contractual risks or opportunities as needed.
• Identifying and evaluating all relevant technical, commercial and contractual risks and opportunities to support in determination of project specific claim strategies.
• Contributing to pursuing outgoing claims, defending incoming claims by assessing and advising on relevant project documents, records, and all pertinent facts.
• Performing quantum or delay analysis to determine causation and responsibilities for relevant events in connection with project schedule and sequencing of scope of work.
• Collaborating with other legal teams by collecting relevant facts, substantiating legal claims and developing defenses and counter claims in dispute proceedings.

What You Bring
• Juris doctor and qualification to practice law in the United States or Canada.
• Longstanding experience in drafting and negotiating customer contracts, support on execution topics related to large scale projects and contract and claim management tasks with capability to handle multiple complex projects and topics at the same time.
• High integrity and experience of working within internationally staffed teams and contractual partners, with ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed (15-20%).
• Excellent English communication and writing skills with demonstrated ability to concisely and convincingly communicate with internal customers and all levels of company stakeholders and external customers or suppliers.
• Strong negotiation skills with ability to support in a matrix organization and geographically diverse negotiating team. Collaborator who can also work independently and thrives in challenging and changing environments.
• Familiarity with terms and conditions of EPC and construction agreements and long-term service agreements.
• Experience in energy market is preferred but not required.
