A highly motivated licensed attorney to join our legal team as Legal Counsel to support our General Counsel in managing the legal affairs of a dynamic technology company by providing strategic legal advice and ensuring compliance with federal and state laws. In this role you will leverage your strong legal foundation to play a crucial part in supporting our legal operations, drafting complex agreements, ensuring statutory compliance, and contributing to exciting merger and acquisition projects. What you will experience... • A fast-paced, collaborative team-oriented environment that encourages everyone to bring their authentic self to work every day. • Professional development for career growth and advancement • Competitive compensation with full selection of benefits, including company-matching 401k contributions and 20 days of paid time off + holidays + birthdays What you will do... • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts, including SaaS agreements, software licenses, service agreements, nondisclosure agreements, vendor agreements, and employment contracts. • Ensure contracts are compliant with applicable laws and regulations, align with company policies, and mitigate risk. • Support the General Counsel on advising internal stakeholders on the legal aspects of SaaS transactions and technology-related contracts. • Advise on employment law matters, including employee relations, workplace policies, and terminations to comply with labor laws. • Monitor changes in legislation and regulations that may impact company operations and advise on necessary adjustments. • Contribute to the development and implementation of internal policies and procedures related to contract management, regulatory compliance, and employment law, providing day-to-day legal advice to various internal stakeholders. • Be a key member of the legal team willing to step in and contribute where necessary to accomplish tasks and solve problems. What you bring... • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. • Admission to and good standing with the Texas state bar. • 1-3 years of experience as an attorney with a corporate legal department or law firm. • Large firm experience is a plus • Strong knowledge of contract law, corporate governance, intellectual property, and other related areas of law. • Knowledge of technology law, SaaS industry standards, mergers and acquisitions and employment law would be a plus. • Strong legal research and analytical skills. • Ability to think strategically and work collaboratively within cross-functional teams to achieve results. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills. • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively. • Experience with contract management software is a plus. • Ability to maintain confidentiality and deliver under tight deadlines and energized by the opportunity to solve problems. • Ability and willingness to travel up to 20%. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Candidate must reside in Dallas or within a commutable distance from our Dallas office, as this is not a remote role.
