Short Description
Atlas Copco North America is seeking an experienced, business-minded in-house attorney to serve as a generalist legal advisor supporting a broad range of legal and business matters. This role is ideal for a lawyer who can work independently, exercise sound judgment, and partner effectively with business stakeholders across the organization. The successful candidate will provide practical, solutions-oriented legal advice across multiple areas, including litigation, mergers and acquisitions, employment, compliance, commercial matters, contracts, and real estate.
Your day-to-day
Provide day-to-day legal support and strategic advice on a wide range of matters affecting the North American business.

Draft, review, negotiate, and advise on commercial agreements, contracts, and other business arrangements.

Support employment-related matters, including counseling on workplace issues, policies, investigations, and risk management.

Assist with litigation and dispute resolution matters, including managing outside counsel and coordinating internal stakeholders.

Support mergers, acquisitions, restructurings, and other corporate transactions, including due diligence, transaction documentation, and post-closing integration support.

Advise on compliance matters and help develop, implement, and support policies, procedures, and training initiatives.

Identify legal and business risks and provide practical recommendations to support business objectives while protecting the company's interests.
Your skills and experience
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school and active bar membership in good standing.

Admitted to practice, and in continuous good standing, in at least one State, and able to qualify (if not already) for an in-house license

Ability to travel locally, domestically and globally

5-10 years of relevant legal experience, with at least 1 year of in-house legal experience.

Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage matters with minimal supervision.

Broad-based legal experience across several of the following areas: litigation, M&A, employment, compliance, commercial contracts, and real estate.

Strong drafting, negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to provide practical, business-oriented legal advice and build strong relationships with internal clients.

Strong organizational skills and ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
