About the RoleConveo is scaling fast - Fortune 500 clients, global contracts, high-stakes enterprise legal reviews. You'll interact with some of the world's biggest brands (Unilever, Google, P&G, Orange). The opportunity: own the legal and commercial operations that let Conveo scale without friction.
As our Legal Associate, you will spend the majority of your time (~85%) building and running the contract lifecycle machine. The remaining time, you'll support the broader legal needs of the company - from data privacy to corporate matters - giving you real exposure to the full spectrum of in-house legal work at a scaling AI company.
This is
not a "review contracts when they land on your desk" role.
This is a high-ownership, high-impact role that sits at the intersection of:
- Deal velocity - remove legal as a bottleneck so revenue closes faster
- Day-to-day legal support - contribute to the broader legal needs of the company, from privacy to corporate matters
- AI-powered operations - build scalable legal processes leveraging AI tools - automate, systematize, and move faster than any traditional legal team
- Operational excellence - build repeatable processes from scratch
- Commercial enablement - arm sales with clean templates, fast execution, and clear guidance
This role is only for someone who sees legal as a growth lever, not a gate.
Your MissionSupport day-to-day legal operationsYou'll work closely with the legal associate and operations team in the EU to build one legal machine across regions, and contribute to the wider legal function beyond contracts:
- Advise internal teams on standard legal questions and risk management
- Review and redline incoming documents hands-on - client paper, vendor agreements, partner terms - and turn them around fast with clear recommendations
- Support data privacy compliance (DPAs, US state privacy laws, GDPR for international clients) and corporate legal hygiene as the company scales across jurisdictions
- Coordinate with external counsel on tactical legal questions
- Contribute to new legal challenges as they arise - this is a fast-growing company, so the scope will grow with you
You're the go-to legal voice internally - pragmatic, fast, and commercial.
Own the contract lifecycle end-to-endYou build a machine - powered by AI and automation - that handles:
- MSAs, DPAs, order forms, amendments, and NDAs for enterprise and agency clients
- Redlining and negotiation with client legal teams
- Template maintenance so sales can self-serve on standard deals
- A clean, trackable contract pipeline from first draft to signature
Your bar: fast execution, minimal back-and-forth, zero ambiguity.
Accelerate deal velocityLegal is currently one of the longest stages in the pipeline. You fix that by:
- Standardizing templates so 80% of deals close without custom negotiation
- Building a redlining playbook so the team handles common pushbacks independently
- Creating a fast-track process for smaller deals
- Partnering with sales to pre-empt legal bottlenecks
Your goal: legal never holds up a deal again.
Operate like an ownerYou measure yourself on:
- Contracts closed
- Time from verbal commit to signature halved
- Deals unblocked
- Templates standardized
- Internal teams confident in legal guidance
You don't wait to be asked. You run the machine.
