Full Job Description
Legal Assistant
Iseman PLLC is hiring a Legal Assistant to help keep the firm organized, responsive, and running smoothly as it grows. This role is for someone who is highly organized, strong with technology, and able to create order in an intense criminal defense trial practice.
You'll manage the firm's day-to-day administrative flow, support client intake, keep files and systems clean, communicate with courts and government agencies, and make sure important details never slip through the cracks - so the attorneys can stay focused on the legal work.
This position is important because it creates capacity inside the firm by taking administrative and legal support tasks off the attorney's plate. The goal is someone who can own workflow, support intake, keep systems clean, and strengthen daily operations - and who can grow with the firm over time.
The person who succeeds in this role will operate independently, handle mistakes as chances to learn, not take feedback personally, and not carry the weight of clients' situations home. Someone who takes criticism personally, cannot function under a real deadline, or gets pulled into the emotional stress of the work won't be a fit.
In a small firm structured like this, you'll interact directly with the attorneys and clients, take on real responsibility, and learn far more than you would at a larger or more siloed place. We help people and their loved ones every day at some of the most stressful points of their lives. If you show you can handle it, there's room to grow and help people along the way.
