Job DetailsChristianaCare is hiring a
Legal Analyst to support the full cycle of the legal process, claims management, and litigation supervised by the Legal/Risk Management Department on behalf of Christiana Care Health System, Inc. and its subsidiaries (collectively, ChristianaCare). This position performs a diverse and complex array of tasks for both attorneys and risk managers, with a high degree of independence. This position works closely with other members of the Legal/Risk Management Department to support ChristianaCare's overarching risk management and legal needs and further ChristianaCare's strategic goals.
The successful candidate will be knowledgeable about the functions of an acute care hospital and its related entities; have the ability to translate information into practical terms that facilitate judgments and decisions and • have excellent oral and written communication skills, including public speaking and project report writing.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist with the development and implementation of the Legal/Risk Management Program.
- Track and manage subpoenas issued to ChristianaCare. Collaborates with departments in the management of subpoenas.
- Support Legal Counsel and/or Risk Management in projects, as assigned.
- Organize meetings, depositions, and mediations for matters involving various legal claims.
- Assist with reporting incidents Third-Party Administrator (TPA) and related claims management.
- Assists Legal/Risk Management and outside counsel with interrogatories, requests for production and other discovery for cases in litigation.
- Maintain office paper and electronic filing systems and databases, including department electronic case management systems and case management documents.
- Generate, manage and maintain correspondence, reports, and other documents and assists with responses to law firms, courts, agencies, insurers and others.
- Assist with the development of educational materials for presentations and trainings.
- Perform routine administrative functions as needed by the Department and provides back-up support as necessary for others in the Legal/Risk Management Departments.
- Establish and maintain effective communication, both internally and externally, with individuals, organizations and institutions.
Qualifications:- High School diploma required. Bachelor's Degree is preferred, a paralegal certificate is a plus with 1-3 years of legal experience.
- Excellent personal computer skills, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access. Ability to learn new applications and programs.

Annual Compensation Range $79,497.60 - $127,212.80
This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare's good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting. The actual salary within this range offered to a successful candidate will depend on individual factors including without limitation skills, relevant experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements.
