DescriptionLee County is seeking a detail-oriented, organized, and dependable Legal Administrative Specialist to join our County Attorney team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys supporting legal staff, preparing high-quality documents, and keeping processes running smoothly through accuracy, consistency, and strong communication.
In this role, you'll prepare and process a wide variety of legal documents and produce official correspondence, and serve as a professional point of contact for internal staff, the Board of County Commissioners, and members of the public.

Duties and ResponsibilitiesWhat You'll DoThis is a hands-on legal administrative support role focused on legal document preparation, organization, and proactive, timely follow-through. Daily responsibilities include:
- Proactively reviewing incoming requests and preparing legal documents, agenda items, and other items for attorneys without needing direction
- Prepare correspondence, memorandums, reports, agreements, resolutions, ordinances, administrative codes, and notices of intent with accuracy and within established timeframes
- Prepare and process standard legal documents, including subpoenas, contracts, summonses, appeals, motions, and various other pleadings
- Communicate professionally, both verbally and in writing, with the Board of County Commissioners, administrative staff, and the general public
- Provide information and respond to inquiries via email, telephone, and in person
- Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail across all work products
Education, Experience, LicensingMinimum RequirementsSalary based upon experience
Candidates must meet any combination of education and experience equivalent to:
- High School graduation or GED equivalent; and
- Two years of office support experience, preferably in a legal environment or closely related field
- Valid Driver's License with an acceptable driving record
