Overview

What To Expect:

Manage and direct payroll procedures to ensure accurate and timely compensation for employees. Support compliance with federal, state, and local laws while managing payroll policies, processes, and audits. Lead process improvements to ensure efficiency and accuracy in payroll operations for the organization.

 

This position is onsite Monday through Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm: Barrington, IL.

 

What To Expect:

  • Manage the end-to-end payroll process for employees, ensuring timely and accurate payroll processing
  • Review and validate payroll calculations (i.e., earnings, deductions, benefits, and taxes)
  • Oversee administration of payroll systems to ensure accuracy and data integrity
  • Collaborate with vendors to troubleshoot system issues and implement upgrades
  • Provide guidance and education on payroll policies and procedures to supervisors and employees
  • Support compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations
  • Ensure completion or on time submission of payroll tax reports 
  • Prepare documentation and reports for auditors and external accountants as required

 

What You Will Contribute:

  • Bachelor Degree - Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) preferred
  • 5 years experience in Payroll - exposure to Paycom preferred
  • Familiarity with basic accounting principles, including but not limited to posting to the G/L, balancing a journal entry, and investigating prior payroll postings
  • Ability to lead teams, apply business governance, and perform continuous improvement to achieve results
  • Must effectively demonstrate the ability to communicate in English, both verbally and in written format
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and able to learn job specific programs/applications
  • Character qualities of Honesty, Thoroughness, Trustworthiness, Initiative, and Collaboration

  • The salary range for this position is $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
