Full Job Description
Job Description

The Learning Program Manager, Sales Enablement designs, governs, and measures scalable enablement programs that directly support Assent's revenue and go-to-market (GTM) goals. This role serves as a strategic business partner to the Sales organization - translating GTM strategy, sales priorities, and field performance data into structured, evidence-based programs that drive measurable outcomes like faster ramp, higher win rates, quota attainment, and consistent execution of our sales methodology.

Unlike a content or curriculum role, the Sales LPM defines what enablement needs to achieve and why, then partners with Learning Consultants (Instructional Designers) and the Learning Content team to design and build the solutions. The LPM captures needs, shapes desired outcomes, makes informed recommendations, and owns the measurement story - while design and development sit with the Learning Consultant and Content teams.

This role also requires deeper sales fluency than other LPM positions. The Sales LPM is expected to develop working expertise in Assent's sales methodology (potentially through formal methodology training or certification) and to participate actively in sales strategy discussions, bringing an enablement and performance lens to the conversation.

AI is a core part of how this role operates. The Sales LPM is expected to use AI-powered tools to accelerate needs analysis, surface insights from sales data and customer conversations, streamline program operations, and sharpen how program impact is measured and communicated. AI is applied within the role's scope - analysis, measurement, operations, and recommendation - not to create learning content, which remains with the Learning Consultant and Content teams.

What You'll Do
  • Serve as the primary enablement business partner to the Sales organization, capturing needs, desired outcomes, and performance gaps across the full sales cycle.
  • Translate GTM and revenue priorities into structured, measurable enablement programs that improve ramp time, pipeline quality, conversion, and quota attainment.
  • Define program goals, blueprints, and governance standards to ensure consistency and scalability across sales roles (e.g., SDR/BDR, AE, Sales Engineering, and frontline managers).
  • Manage intake and prioritization of new enablement initiatives, balancing strategic importance, revenue impact, and risk - using AI to triage requests, summarize stakeholder inputs, and keep program documentation current.
  • Establish program success metrics, convert business needs into evidence-based KPIs, and tell the story with the data through dashboards and executive-ready reporting - leveraging AI and analytics tooling to surface insights and generate reporting narratives, in partnership with Data & Insights teams.
  • Own the Analysis and Evaluation phases of the ADDIE model: scope needs up front and assess program effectiveness against sales outcomes, using AI-assisted analysis of sales data, conversation intelligence, and learner feedback.
  • Champion the practical, responsible use of AI across the enablement lifecycle - synthesizing stakeholder inputs and sales-call insights, drafting program briefs and recommendations, and helping the broader enablement team work faster - while instructional design and content development remain with the Learning Consultant and Content teams.
  • Collaborate with Learning Consultants and the Learning Content team to deliver high-quality, on-time programs - making recommendations and setting direction, while respecting that instructional design and content development live with those teams.
  • Develop and maintain working fluency in Assent's sales methodology, completing methodology training or certification as needed to credibly partner with the field.
  • Participate in sales strategy and planning discussions, representing the enablement and performance perspective.
  • Align and communicate across Sales, Revenue Operations, Product, and Enablement, continuously improving processes and documentation.

Qualifications

Experience: At least 3 years managing learning or enablement programs, or equivalent experience coordinating cross-functional initiatives - paired with meaningful direct sales, sales operations, or revenue-facing experience. SaaS or technology environment strongly preferred; quota-carrying or quota-supporting background is a plus.

Sales Acumen: Genuine understanding of the sales cycle, pipeline dynamics, and how reps and managers actually work day to day. Familiarity with common sales methodologies (e.g., MEDDIC/MEDDPICC, Challenger, Command of the Message, Sandler, or similar) and a willingness to certify in Assent's chosen approach.

Program Strategy & Execution: Proven ability to translate revenue and GTM goals into structured, outcome-focused enablement programs that align to organizational priorities.

Governance & Organization: Skilled at building repeatable processes, managing intake and prioritization, and ensuring programs launch on time and within scope.

Measurement & Reporting: Comfortable defining sales-relevant success metrics (ramp, win rate, quota attainment, conversion, sales-cycle length, adoption) and partnering with data teams to track progress through dashboards or reports.

AI Fluency: Comfortable using AI-powered tools to accelerate analysis, reporting, insight generation, and program operations. Curious about how AI can improve enablement outcomes and speed, and thoughtful about applying it within the right guardrails - including the boundary that content creation stays with the Consultant and Content teams.

Learning Science Application: Working knowledge of adult learning theory, instructional design models (ADDIE, LTEM, evidence-based learning), and approaches that support retention and behavior change.

Operational Efficiency: Detail-oriented and organized; able to manage multiple programs simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and consistency.

Collaboration & Communication: Strong communicator and relationship builder who is credible with sales reps and leaders, and capable of aligning diverse stakeholders across Sales, Revenue Operations, Product, and Enablement.

Quality Ownership: Takes responsibility for program quality and seeks opportunities to strengthen the link between enablement outcomes and revenue goals.

Tools & Platforms: Experience using LMS platforms and project-tracking tools; comfort with CRM (e.g., Salesforce) and interest in learning AI-enabled sales enablement and analytics platforms (e.g., Highspot, Seismic, Gong, PowerBI,Guru) to enhance efficiency.

Mindset: Structured, collaborative, growth-oriented, and AI-forward. Balances execution discipline with genuine sales curiosity, and looks for ways to work smarter with AI, learning from results to improve program quality over time.
