BGIS ITS is currently seeking a Learning & Engagement Manager to join the team in Hudson, FL.

Job Summary

The Learning & Engagement Manager identifies, aligns, and monitors operational training needs in the organization to maximize opportunities for technician immersion post new hire orientation, increasing technical and system skills, continuous professional development, and engaging team members in sustainable careers. The role blends multiple learning platforms and resources to create specific training paths and knowledge milestones. Key responsibilities include leveraging best practices, measuring results of technician team member experience, career growth programs, and articulating successes to multiple levels of audiences within the organization. Compensation & Benefits
  • Annual Salary Rate: $78,000 to $102,000 annually
  • Paid Time Off: Start with 48 hours, increasing to 168 hours with tenure.

Key Duties & Responsibilities
  • Learning Objectives Management
  • Curate blended learning curriculums to meet growing business needs accessible to the appropriate learning audiences.
  • Assess, prioritize, and align training initiatives to short term and long term strategic organizational goals translating into increased team member engagement and profitable revenue impacts.
  • Collect and evaluate data on current skill levels and map solutions to evaluate both individual learning and overall team knowledge.
  • Create and communicate the vision and branding of technical training solutions specific to BGIS.
  • Review existing training materials, suggest enhancements and modifications to improve engagement, learning, and retention to remain relevant to client needs and the HVAC industry.
  • Introduce and execute learning solutions strategically with phased implementation approaches managing the change process.
  • Observe and provide feedback on technician interactions with technology platforms and generate pro-active thought processes from a holistic perspective on maximizing efficiency in field operations.
  • Lead discovery process of root cause identification and focus resources for impactful results in measurable time periods.
  • Maintain knowledge of new methods and techniques for training, and requirements applicable to the industry.
  • Champion continuous improvement and a learning organization mindset with adaptability and persistence to provide excellence in client services.
  • Contribute to other focus areas and projects as assigned.

Learning Activities Management
  • Engage people leaders and highlight accountability for the on-boarding success of each new team member.
  • Encourage ride-a longs with managers and team members to promote knowledge sharing, best practice exchange, and subject matter expertise.
  • Utilize opportunities for train-the-trainer solutioning to share knowledge to broader audiences and provide timely upgrading of client service delivery.
  • Identify the best methods for training material presentation and ensure physical space, technology, and hands-on learning resources are readily available.
  • Partner with local trade schools, workforce centers, industry organizations, and other helpful contacts providing introductions and learning events to BGIS talent in the geographical area.
  • Manage training vendor and third-party relationships, product quality, and methodology to ensure measurable return on investment and achievement of learning outcomes.
  • Deliver and facilitate classroom, on-site, and virtual training presentations leveraging people leader and team member subject matter expertise where applicable.
  • Ensure compliance with internal safety standards and policies along with external regulations with a focus on sustainability and the environment.
  • Design training materials including on-line use of authoring tools along with reference manuals, simulation exercises, assessment, and resources for people leaders.
  • Collect feedback from learner's multiple levels including specific review of training solutions and broader perspectives of growth, development and either subject matter expertise focus or career advancement.
  • Provide recommendations regarding recognition of achievement of learning objectives, potential additional focused training, and advancement of learners to higher skill level challenges.
  • Consult with people leaders to evaluate effectiveness of training activities.

Learning & Engagement Analysis
  • Lead budget, budget discussions identifying appropriate resources required to meet annual business objectives.
  • Track training spend to budget allowances and manage investment in learning initiatives.
  • Ensure training milestones and goals are met within approved financial allowances and time frames.
  • Manage scope of training solutions and ensure project outcomes are clearly defined and trackable.
  • Analyze retention trends of team members and identify trends by job titles/groups, people leaders, geographic areas, tenure, or other key factors.
  • Provide recommendations to increase team member engagement and length of tenure.

Knowledge & Skills
  • Bachelor degree in relevant field or equivalent trades related training and experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with management of design, execution, and measurement of training solutions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including data relay, exchange, feedback, and clarification.
  • Experience in creating instructional design and strong graphic design ability.
  • Thorough understanding of training processes and adult learner theories.
  • Ability to collaborate in a teamwork environment with internal and external contacts.
  • Problem solving skills to identify root cause issues and take appropriate steps for resolution and teach others how to complete essential tasks.
  • Time management focus to balance multiple competing priorities and demonstrate a sense of urgency.
  • Ability to work independently and contribute positively to teamwork environment.
  • Extremely organized and detail oriented.
  • Mindset for environmental, health, and safety and ability to perform and teach others to work in a safe manner.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Project required. Working knowledge of SharePoint preferred.
  • Knowledge of CRM a plus.
  • Knowledge of HVAC, the trades industry or facility maintenance management is a plus.
