Key Position Details:

  • 1.0 FTE (80 hours per two-week pay period)
  • 8-hour day shifts

  • Remote role with Allina Commons as the home case; candidates must reside in Minnesota or Wisconsin

Job Description:

Responsible for developing instructional design content using learning methodology and technology to design learner-centric education experiences.

Principle Responsibilities

  • Design
    • Independently conducts design sessions with customers and subject matter experts. Applies appropriate learning solutions based on the learning session.
    • Applies creativity to designing learner-centric education to achieve learning outcomes.
    • Optimizes the learning experience by integrating technology platforms.
    • Applies formative and/or summative assessments to accomplish goals and objectives
  • Development
    • Develops a range of learning solutions with expertise in web-based training, animated video, ILT/vILT, infographics, print materials (tip sheets reference guides, etc.), video production, stimulation, podcast creation, or microlearning.
    • Develops professional and engaging learning experiences, utilizing adult learning methodology
    • Creates assessments, exercises, and activities that enhance learning and knowledge retention.
    • Addresses the identified goal of the education as well as all other knowledge, skills and understandings identified during the design session.
    • Addresses education goals, including knowledge, skill, and understanding
  • Consultation and Analysis
    • Provides consultation around the design of learning solutions to customers and subject matter experts.
    • Identifies problems and areas of improvement.
    • Analyzes customer requests.
    • Conducts needs analysis. Use needs analysis to inform the education approach and the learning solution utilized.
  • Evaluation and Metrics
    • Identifies baseline metrics through consultation and analysis.
    • Determines how to measure the success of the learning solution.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Healthcare or related field
  • 2 to 5 years of experience in instructional design/learning

Pay Range

Pay Range: $38.52 to $52.80 per hour

The pay described reflects the base hiring pay range. Your starting rate would depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, your experience, education, and the union agreement (if applicable). Shift, weekend and/or other differentials may be available to increase your pay rate for certain shifts or work.
