Learning and Development Program Manager - Clinton IA.
This is an exempt onsite management position

Position Summary:
The L&D Program Manager is responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and management of training programs for Operations, Maintenance, and Construction employees within the ADM Clinton Iowa Site. This role involves managing the Department of Labor (DOL) trades certificate program for journeymen and craftsman, ensuring that all employees receive the necessary training to perform their jobs safely and efficiently while maintaining compliance with industry standards and regulations. The L&D Program Manager will collaborate with various departments to identify training needs, develop curriculum, and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs.

Job Responsibilities: (bullet Points)
Training Program Development and Management:
  • Design, develop, and implement comprehensive training, qualification, and continuous colleague development (CCD) programs for Operations, Maintenance, and Construction employees.
  • Oversee the DOL trades certificate program for journeymen and craftsman, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with department heads to identify training needs and objectives.
  • Develop training materials, manuals, and resources to support program delivery.
  • Develop train the trainer programs.
Training Delivery and Facilitation:
  • Conduct training sessions, workshops, and seminars for employees across various levels.
  • Utilize various training methods, including classroom instruction, hands-on training, e-learning, and simulations.
  • Evaluate and improve training delivery methods to enhance learning outcomes.
Performance Evaluation and Reporting:
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through assessments, feedback, and performance metrics.
  • Prepare reports on training activities, outcomes, and improvements for management review.
  • Implement changes to training programs based on feedback and performance data.
Compliance and Certification Management:
  • Ensure all training programs meet industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage the certification process for trades and craftsman, including maintaining records and documentation.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and changes in regulations to adjust training programs accordingly.
Leadership and Team Management:
  • Lead and manage a team of training staff.
  • Provide coaching and development opportunities for training staff.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and learning within the organization.

  • The Manufacturing Training Manager will play a crucial role in ensuring that all employees are equipped with the skills and knowledge necessary to perform their duties effectively, contributing to the overall success and safety of the manufacturing operations.
  • Ability to work closely with Department Management and hold staff accountable to processes set forth and agreed upon.
  • Be a leader and champion for New Hire Orientation of staff.

Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in education, Business, Engineering, or a related field. Years of experience in production and training will be considered.
Required Experience:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in training and development within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in developing and delivering training programs for technical and operational roles.
Desired Experience:
  • Proven experience in managing trades certification programs and working with regulatory bodies.
