ABOUT THE ROLE

S&S Activewear is seeking an experienced Instructional Designer to create modern, scalable learning experiences that support the growth and development of our commercial organization. This role partners closely with the commercial teams Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to design engaging learning solutions that accelerate onboarding, product knowledge, consultative selling capabilities, and performance improvement across the commercial organization.

The Instructional Designer will be responsible for developing e-learning content, structured learning paths, assessments, and performance support tools while modernizing training delivery methods and learner experiences. This position will play a critical role in supporting strategic initiatives, including Consultative Selling and brand/product education programs.

COMPENSATION & SCHEDULE

Salaried: $110,000 - $125,000 (based on experience)

Monday - Friday (standard business hours) Full-time, exempt

WHAT YOU WILL DO
  • Design and develop e-learning modules, blended learning programs, and structured learning paths.
  • Create storyboards, scenarios, simulations, videos, job aids, and knowledge checks.
  • Partner with SMEs to analyze learning needs and translate business requirements into effective training solutions.
  • Design readiness assessments, certification programs, and skill-tracking methodologies.
  • Develop onboarding and continuous learning curricula for commercial team members.
  • Modernize existing training content using current instructional design best practices and adult learning principles.
  • Collaborate with the L&D Specialist to ensure content is effectively deployed through learning systems.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness through learner feedback, assessments, and business performance metrics.
  • Maintain instructional design standards, templates, and governance processes.
  • Support the development of Sales & Industry Foundations and Product/Brand training programs.
  • Continuously improve programs based on learner insights and evolving commercial needs.
  • Maintain and organize learning resources on LMS and communication channels.
  • Develop and maintain organizational communications such as intranet bulletin boards and newsletters to ensure employees have knowledge of training and development events and resources.
  • Exemplify a growth mindset and model curiosity, creativity, agility, and learner-centric thinking.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • Ability to design eye catching graphics, videos and e-learnings that not only share content but also keep the learners engaged.
  • Proven ability to design and develop learning content using Articulate Rise and other multimedia platforms.
  • Strong instructional design skills with the ability to simplify complexity and create engaging learner experiences.
  • Creativity, agility, and comfort operating in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to evaluate and research training options and alternatives.
  • Travel to distribution centers or sales events as needed.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education, Organizational Development, Learning Technologies, or related field.
  • 5-7 years of instructional design experience in a corporate environment.
  • Experience with e-learning authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline, Rise, Vyond, Camtasia, or similar platforms.
  • Strong understanding of adult learning theory and instructional design methodologies (ADDIE, SAM, etc.).
  • Excellent project management and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience creating engaging digital learning experiences and assessments.
  • Experience supporting sales enablement or commercial training programs.
  • Familiarity with LMS platforms such as Workday Learning, Cornerstone, or similar systems.
  • Experience in distribution, manufacturing, wholesale, or apparel industries.
  • Experience with L&D in a Sales environment, particularly B2B, preferred (but not required)
  • Knowledge of learning analytics and performance measurement.
