ABOUT THE JOB
The Quality team is expanding its training and workforce development capability to keep pace with Anduril's rapid growth across manufacturing, engineering, and field operations. We are looking for a Senior Training Content Designer to join our team in Costa Mesa, CA. In this role, you will own the design, development, and continuous improvement of training content that enables employees, suppliers, and cross-functional partners to meet AS9100/ISO 9001 quality standards and Anduril-specific requirements. You will translate complex quality management system (QMS) processes into clear, engaging, and measurable learning experiences-spanning eLearning modules, instructor-led workshops, quick-reference guides, and on-the-job training materials. This will require deep instructional design expertise, a strong grasp of defense-industry quality standards, and the ability to collaborate across engineering, manufacturing, and compliance teams. If you are someone who thrives at the intersection of quality systems and adult learning, can turn dense regulatory content into something people actually want to complete, and gets energized by building training programs from the ground up in a fast-moving environment, then this role is for you.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Design and develop role-based training curricula aligned to AS9100, ISO 9001, and internal quality management system requirements, ensuring content is accurate, current, and audit-ready.
  • Conduct training needs analyses across manufacturing, engineering, supply chain, and field operations to identify knowledge gaps and prioritize content development.
  • Create multi-format learning assets-including eLearning modules, instructor-led training packages, standard operating procedure (SOP) guides, video walkthroughs, and job aids-tailored to diverse learner audiences.
  • Partner with Quality Engineers, Manufacturing Engineers, and Compliance leads to translate process changes, corrective actions, and nonconformance trends into updated training content.
  • Establish and maintain a training content lifecycle management process, including version control, periodic review cadences, and retirement workflows.
  • Define and track training effectiveness metrics (e.g., assessment pass rates, time-to-competency, audit finding reduction) and use data to iterate on content and delivery methods.
  • Support internal and external quality audits by providing training records, demonstrating curriculum traceability, and addressing audit findings related to workforce competency.
  • Evaluate and recommend training delivery platforms (LMS/LXP) and authoring tools that scale with Anduril's growth and meet defense-industry documentation requirements.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • 5-8 years of experience in instructional design, training content development, or learning experience design, with at least 2 years supporting quality, manufacturing, or regulated environments.
  • Working knowledge of AS9100, ISO 9001, or comparable aerospace and defense quality management standards and how they translate into workforce competency requirements.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with eLearning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline/Rise, Cornerstone, Adobe Captivate) and learning management systems.
  • Strong ability to distill complex technical or regulatory content into clear, learner-centered materials for audiences ranging from production operators to senior engineers.
  • Excellent project management and stakeholder collaboration skills, with experience managing multiple content development efforts simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be a U.S. Person (as defined under ITAR) and eligible to obtain a U.S. security clearance.
