Full Job Description
You are:

A high-impact Sales Engineer who brings together business acumen, technical fluency, and compelling storytelling to shape complex enterprise opportunities. You are naturally consultative, curious, and credible with senior stakeholders, with a strong ability to uncover what matters most, simplify complexity, and connect workforce challenges to differentiated solution approaches. You are comfortable operating across learning, technology, and business conversations, and you know how to bring platforms, content, experiences, and services together into a cohesive story that feels tailored to the client. You bring strong commercial judgment, executive presence, and the confidence to challenge assumptions, navigate ambiguity, and help position LearnVantage as a strategic workforce reinvention partner rather than a traditional training provider.

The work:

The Senior Sales Engineer is a key member of the Accenture LearnVantage presales organization, responsible for helping clients understand how LearnVantage can address their workforce, technology-skilling, and transformation priorities.

Partnering closely with Account Executives, the Senior Sales Engineer leads client discovery, translates business and workforce challenges into compelling solution approaches, develops and delivers tailored demonstrations and presentations, articulates differentiated business value, and helps advance complex opportunities through the sales cycle.

The Senior Sales Engineer serves as a trusted advisor to client stakeholders across Learning & Development, Human Resources, Technology, Data and AI, and business leadership. This individual combines consultative selling, learning and technology fluency, executive communication, and strong storytelling to connect LearnVantage capabilities to the outcomes that matter most to each client.

For opportunities requiring deeper technical, functional, security, implementation, or domain expertise, the Senior Sales Engineer engages and partners with the appropriate subject matter experts while maintaining continuity of the overall client solution narrative.

In this role, you will:
  • Lead consultative discovery with client stakeholders to understand business priorities, workforce challenges, skill gaps, transformation initiatives, learning needs, and desired outcomes.
  • Translate client needs into tailored LearnVantage solution approaches that bring together the right combination of platforms, content, learning experiences, and services.
  • Develop and deliver compelling solution narratives, demonstrations, and executive presentations tailored to each client's industry, workforce, and transformation priorities.
  • Position the breadth of the LearnVantage ecosystem, including digital learning, instructor-led training, technology and AI skilling, hands-on experiences, certifications, skills development, platforms, and related services.
  • Assess solution fit by identifying key business, functional, and technology requirements, dependencies, and areas requiring deeper validation by the appropriate subject matter experts.
  • Understand the client's broader learning and talent ecosystem-including LMS, LXP, HRIS/HCM, identity, reporting, and related technologies-at a level sufficient to inform solution positioning and identify potential dependencies.
  • Connect LearnVantage solutions to measurable workforce and business outcomes such as AI readiness, technology adoption, skill development, productivity, certification attainment, and time-to-proficiency.
  • Develop value hypotheses and business cases that help clients understand the expected impact of a LearnVantage investment.
  • Partner with Account Executives throughout complex sales cycles on opportunity strategy, stakeholder engagement, competitive positioning, and pursuit planning.
  • Lead or contribute to RFPs, RFIs, competitive evaluations, finalist presentations, and other strategic pursuits.
  • Maintain strong knowledge of the LearnVantage portfolio, enterprise learning ecosystem, competitive landscape, and trends in AI skilling and workforce transformation.
  • Assess platform and solution fit by identifying key functional, technical, integration, data, security, and ecosystem requirements, and determine where deeper feasibility validation by the appropriate subject matter experts is needed.
  • Translate client feedback and market insights into actionable input for internal teams.

What Success Looks Like

Within the first six months, a successful Senior Sales Engineer will:
  • Build strong working knowledge of the LearnVantage portfolio, including how platforms, content, learning experiences, and services come together to address client workforce and transformation needs.
  • Independently lead discovery and presales engagements, translating client challenges into clear LearnVantage use cases and differentiated solution approaches.
  • Deliver compelling, client-specific demonstrations and solution narratives that connect LearnVantage capabilities to business and workforce outcomes.
  • Confidently assess solution fit, identify key platform and technology considerations, and engage the right subject matter experts when deeper validation is required.
  • Establish trusted partnerships with Account Executives and cross-functional teams and become a valued contributor to complex pursuits and strategic opportunities.
  • Demonstrate measurable impact on the sales cycle by improving solution quality, strengthening differentiation, and helping advance qualified opportunities.

Travel may be required for this role. The amount of travel will vary from 0% to 20% depending on business need and client requirements.

Here's what you need:
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in presales, solutions engineering, solutions consulting, or an equivalent client-facing role.
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience presenting solutions to technical and executive audiences at enterprise organizations with 1,000+ employees
  • Experience supporting sales opportunities or client engagements valued at $100K+ annually
  • Demonstrated success supporting complex enterprise sales cycles with multiple stakeholders, competitive evaluations, and executive-level engagement.
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience conducting client discovery, solution demonstrations, and translating business requirements into solution recommendations.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent (minimum 12 years) work experience. (If Associate's Degree, must have minimum 6 years work experience)

Bonus Points If:
  • Experience supporting workforce transformation, upskilling, learning, or talent strategy initiatives
  • Experience in an enterprise SaaS sales, presales, or post-sales environment
  • Client-facing experience supporting SSO, HRIS, LMS/LXP, or other enterprise platform integrations
  • Experience supporting or leading 5+ enterprise RFP/RFI responses
