Responsibilities

  • Monitor metrics to identify and resolve workflow bottlenecks
  • Analyze workflows and resources to improve efficiency and reduce waste

  • Drive cost improvement through efficiency and reduced production times
  • Collaborate with maintenance and manage equipment downtime
  • Lead lean initiatives and evaluate impacts on cost, quality, and delivery
  • Maintain accurate operational records and performance documentation
  • Manage staffing activities including hiring, onboarding, and adjustments
  • Supervise and coach day-to-day performance and development planning
  • Identify training needs to promote skills development and certifications

Full Job Description
We are seeking a Lean Manufacturing Manager for our Corsa Performance facility in Berea, Ohio. This is an on-site position.
  • Ensure compliance with all company safety, environmental, regulatory, and operational guidelines; communicate expectations, conduct safety meetings, and investigate and document incidents.
  • Support quality goals by implementing corrective actions and adherence to quality standards.
  • Manage manufacturing processes, assets, and workforce to support efficient operations to achieve daily production targets.
  • Monitor manufacturing metrics and workflow efficiency; identify bottlenecks and solve problems.
  • Analyze production workflows, workspace design, and resources use to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in the development and revision of operating procedures and management of change initiatives to support operational improvements.
  • Drive cost improvement by reducing manufacturing expenses, improving efficiency and reducing production times.
  • Contribute design-for-manufacturability input and take part in cross-functional projects.
  • Collaborate with maintenance, plan and schedule equipment downtime, while supporting production output.
  • Lead lean initiatives and evaluate the impact against cost, quality and delivery expectations.
  • Maintain accurate records including time and attendance, shop floor job labor, and performance documentation.
  • Manage staffing activities including workforce planning, interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and recommend staffing adjustments based on business needs.
  • Supervise, coach and manage day-to-day performance including performance reviews, disciplinary actions, and development planning.
  • Identify training needs and promote skill development, cross-training, and required certifications to maintain a flexible and capable workforce.

Requirements

  • Degree in Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or equivalent experience
  • Lean or Six Sigma (LSS) Certification, preferred.
  • Three to five years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Prior leadership experience.
  • Knowledge of MIG and TIG welding, along with general metal fabrication.
  • Experience managing in a continuous improvement environment and implementing Lean principles.
  • Excellent written and oral communication and people skills.
  • Basic skills in Microsoft Office; intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel.
