About this opportunityThe Ericsson US 5G Smart Factory is growing, and we are looking for a Lead Trainer to join our Production team within Operations. In this role, you will play a central part in building the capabilities of our workforce - helping manufacture some of the most advanced radios and basebands in the world, the technologies that power 5G connectivity. The Lead Trainer reports to the Production Training Manager and serves as a resource, guide, and role model for Technical Trainers, Operators, and other team members across the factory.
What you will do- Provide ongoing training and development support to embed a problem-solving mindset into day-to-day operations
- Coordinate and facilitate onboarding training for all new Smart Factory employees to ensure a consistent and impactful new-hire experience
- Evaluate learning outcomes using knowledge assessments and functional performance evaluations
- Maintain comprehensive tracking of completed and required training
- Support the Production Training Manager in developing new Technical Trainers
- Partner with operational managers to build individualized development plans for employees
- Define readiness targets for critical training aligned with business strategy and develop training plans accordingly
- Collaborate with supervisors, Operations management, and Learning Experience Designers to develop effective training solutions
- Ensure programs comply with ISO competence management and Ericsson Environmental Health & Occupational Safety standards
- Maintain training plans, schedules, compliance records, and reporting through the Learning Management System (LMS)
- Champion operator safety and facilitate cross-functional communication and problem-solving between departments
The skills you bring- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong facilitation, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to guide, coach, and motivate others
- Proven ability to lead complex problem-solving activities
- Proficiency with Microsoft applications and basic LMS administration
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-tech manufacturing environment and periodically work flexible shift hours
- Experience in a manufacturing environment with foundational and advanced operational skills
- Professionalism and confidence in a high-visibility training role
- Experience with environmental and safety compliance, ISO competence management, and training governance
- Ability to collaborate across cross-functional groups with diverse backgrounds
- Familiarity with objective-based training theory, functional assessment methodologies, and LMS administration

Your PayThe salary range for this position is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, and the candidate's combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience.
Short-Term Variable Compensation Plan: Your pay also includes the opportunity for an annual bonus. Actual bonus payouts are based on performance of the business against the unit's objectives, individual performance, and the individual bonus target. Certain eligibility and pro-ration rules apply.

Your TimeYour work-life balance is important to us. New employees are provided a minimum of 15 days of accrued vacation, up to 3 personal days per year, 11 annual holidays, 8 hours of volunteer time, and 80 hours of sick time annually. Please note paid time off is pro-rated based on the employee's start date. Furthermore, Ericsson provides up to 16 weeks of paid maternity leave and 6 weeks of parental or adoption leave at 100% of pay.
