In this role as a Lead Technology Specialist, you will help shape and deliver innovative solutions that help to improve customer experiences on our machines to address key customer challenges. You will collaborate closely with commercial, engineering, and strategy teams to define product requirements, prioritize initiatives, and develop long-term product strategies. This position plays a critical role in aligning business goals with customer needs and driving successful product outcomes.


What You Will Do:

  • Lead the definition and refinement of strategic goals for In Cab Experiences and AI Assist features, working with cross-functional team members from Commercial, Strategy, Engineering and New Product Introduction.
  • Develop and manage multi-generational product plans aligned to business objectives
  • Establish and manage product line priorities and manage investments
  • Define, document, and prioritize market requirements, product capabilities, and features
  • Analyze market conditions and competitive landscapes to inform strategy
  • Define success metrics and track product performance against objectives
  • Drive alignment across cross-functional stakeholders through clear communication of strategy
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to evolve product roadmaps and ensure execution

  • Strategic Thinking: Knowledge of the importance of "big picture" thinking and planning; ability to apply organizational acumen and competitiveness to identify and maintain focus on key success factors for the organization.

Consideration for Top Candidates:

  • Experience understanding customer needs as it relates to business strategy for product road mapping and strategies.
  • Cross-functional experience across engineering, commercial, strategy, etc.
  • Construction or Mining experience preferred with knowledge of how customer use our machines
  • Proven experience developing product requirements and knowledge of product positioning
  • Education Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Technology, Engineering, or related field preferred

Additional Information:

  • This position requires the candidate to work full-time in either Irving, TX or Mossville, IL
  • Domestic relocation assistance is available for this position.

Summary Pay Range:

$128,470.00 - $208,770.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
