Job DescriptionThe Department of Clinical Laboratories at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University is seeking a full-time Lead Technologist, TH Clinical Lab Technologist 2, Chemistry & Immunology.
The successful candidate will:
- Perform clinical laboratory procedures and examinations and any other tests or procedures conducted by the Chemistry and Hematology Laboratories.
- Function as the Lead Technologist.
- Adhere to departmental, hospital, and government regulations.
- Train personnel in technical methodologies and interpretation of results.
- Maintain laboratory inventory and statistics.
- Assign appropriate staff to assure a smooth workflow.
- Assist in coordinating administrative operations for the laboratory.
- Demonstrate flexibility, as the duties and responsibilities are not limited to the above description.
QualificationsRequired Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science Degree or equivalent in Medical Technology, Physical, or Biological Science.
- New York State Clinical Laboratory Technologist Licensure.
