Job Description

  • Lead the development and delivery of technical publications for a new aircraft development program, adhering to S1000D specifications and customer documentation standards.
  • Coordinate updates and revisions to existing and sustaining program manuals (e.g., AMM, IPC, SRM), ensuring compliance with regulatory and customer requirements.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for documentation tasks at the customer location, ensuring effective communication between onsite and offshore teams across different time zones.
  • Collaborate with engineering, design, manufacturing, and support teams to gather accurate technical data required for authoring.
  • Provide clear direction and technical guidance to offshore writers, and ensure deliverables meet quality, format, and timeliness expectations.
  • Review and approve authored content for technical accuracy, language quality, and adherence to S1000D and ATA iSpec 2200 standards.
  • Support integration of content into CSDB and content management systems, using tools like Arbortext, Corton3D, ISODRAW, or similar XML-based authoring platforms.
  • Track documentation progress, manage schedules, and report status to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure effective handling of engineering changes and service bulletins, reflecting updates in the appropriate manuals.
  • Participate in customer and internal meetings to address documentation requirements, clarify feedback, and drive resolution of issues.
  • Support quality and configuration management processes, including version control and audit readiness.
