JOB DESCRIPTION

As a Lead Technical Program Manager with inJPMoganChaseInfrastructure Foundational Services,you lead large, cross-functional technical programs across engineering, operations, security, architecture, and product to deliver resilient platform capabilities. You create inclusive working rhythms where every voice isheardand decisions are documented, measurable, and durable. You partner closely with technical teams to translate strategy into executable plans, manage complex dependencies, and deliver outcomes that improve service reliability, developer experience, and operational excellence.

Job responsibilities

  • Leadend-to-end delivery of large-scale infrastructure/platform programs, driving scope, timelines, and measurable outcomes across multiple teams.
  • Buildintegrated program plans across workstreams, milestones, critical path, and RAID, ensuring clear ownership and transparentdeliveryhealth.
  • Rungovernance forums (steering committees, working groups, executive updates) that accelerate decisions, reduce ambiguity, andmaintainmomentum.
  • Alignengineering, operations, security, architecture, and product partners on solution trade-offs, sequencing, and delivery constraints.
  • Translatedistributed-systemsconcepts (availability, resiliency, latency, scaling, dependencies) into practical execution strategies and risk-aware milestones.
  • Managecross-team and vendor dependencies byestablishingexplicit interfaces, handoffs, and escalation paths with options-based recommendations.
  • Demonstrated experience using enterprise-authorized AI capabilities within the work environment to support program management workflows with strong validation habits and awareness of data sensitivity.
  • Ability to review andvalidateAI-assisted plans, risks, and recommendations before use, escalating when uncertain and following data handling expectations
  • DriveAgile-at-scale execution using Scrum/Kanban and hybrid delivery patterns (release trains, phased migrations, change windows) suited to infrastructure work.
  • Owndelivery risk and control posture by integrating change management, operational risk practices, and incident learnings into program plans.
  • Improveprogram execution tooling and hygiene (dashboards, dependency tracking, automation) to increase cross-team visibility and reduce coordination overhead.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Formal training or certification on technical program management concepts and 5+ years applied experience
  • Demonstrated experienceleading large, cross-functional technical programs across engineering, operations, security, architecture, and product.
  • Proven delivery experience in infrastructure/platform domains such as cloud foundations, Kubernetes/container platforms, network/compute/storage, CI/CD & developer platforms, IAM, observability, or SRE/production operations.
  • Ability to read and critique architecture diagrams, reasonaboutfailure modes, and drive pragmatic mitigation plans.
  • Demonstrated experience using enterprise-authorized AI capabilities within the work environment to support program management workflows with strong validation habits and awareness of data sensitivity.
  • Ability to review andvalidateAI-assisted plans, risks, and recommendations before use, escalating when uncertain and following data handling expectations
  • Demonstrated strength partnering with engineers and architects to evaluate trade-offs and guide decisions under real-world constraints.
  • Excellence in program execution, including building integrated plans with workstreams, milestones, critical path, and RAID management.
  • Experience running governance and facilitation rhythms (steerco, working groups) that drive decisions, remove blockers, andmaintainaccountability.
  • Strong risk-and-controlsmindset, including operational risk awareness, change management discipline, and delivery in regulated/high-control environments.
  • Clear, concise stakeholder communication skills, including executive-level written and verbal updates and the ability to align conflicting priorities.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Familiarity with SRE practices such as SLOs/SLIs, error budgets, incident/problem management, on-call realities, and capacity planning.
  • Practical understanding of security-by-design, identity/access patterns, vulnerability remediation, platform hardening, and resiliency testing (DR/failover).
  • Experience driving cloud migrations or platform modernization, includingIaCconcepts (Terraform-like), configuration management, and automated provisioning.
  • Metrics-driven delivery approach using outcomes like availability, MTTR, change failure rate, deployment frequency, cost efficiency, and platform adoption.
  • Advanced working knowledge of Jira (and typically Confluence) to run end-to-end execution, including dashboards and cross-team visibility for blockers and dependencies.
  • Experience partnering with Jira administrators tooptimizeworkflows, permissions, automations, templates, and ways of working standards across teams.
  • Experience applying AI-enabled automations for program execution (e.g., summarizing standups into updates, generating release notes, analyzing incident themes) with measurable time savings or quality gains
