Lead Systems Engineer/Architect

ATSC is currently seeking senior level candidates for the position of Systems Engineer/Architect to join our team in Gilbert AZ . ATSC's primary product lines include C4ISR systems, Air Drop Delivery Systems, and Lighter Than Air Systems.

This position requires strong independent problem-solving skills, team leadership, technical writing, and communication skills in support of an array of existing and future work for US Military and foreign defense customers. The candidate must have experience defining the system architecture, developing systems requirements, integrating sensors (EO/IR, Radar, LMR, MANET radio's, backhaul communication systems, Distributed Acoustic Sensing (DAS), etc), integrating Command and Control software, defining products with control systems, and working Bid and Proposals.

Required Skills/Knowledge
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  • Experience leading and defining Systems Level Architectures
  • Experience with RF systems (Land Mobile Radios, MANET radio's, Backhaul Point to Point, Encryptions, etc)
  • Knowledge performing RF Link Budget Analysis
  • Writing Systems Level Requirements, Systems Level Plans, and Analysis (System Plans, System Modeling, FMEA, Systems Safety, Requirements Traceability, etc)
  • Shown experience leading a multi-discipline team throughout the development life cycle, including New Product Introduction (NPI) into a factory
  • Experience managing suppliers and writing Statement of Work (SOWs)
  • Experience as a technical Focal into major OEM's and Military Customers
  • Write/lead trade studies, use cases, white papers, etc.
  • Experience with Pursuits, Bids, Proposals, etc
  • Experience with System Level Test and Troubleshooting (In-house and in Field)
  • Liaison with partners and subcontractors to verify specifications and interface requirements and to produce ICDs between multiple sub-systems.
  • Exposure to development of product roadmaps

Desired Experience
  • 10+ years in Systems Level Architectures
  • 7+ years' experience in Mission/Tactical Radio Designs
  • 7+ years' experience in integrated sensor and surveillance technologies
  • Experience designing products with various levels of complexity (electrical, mechanical, power systems, RF, PCBA, control systems, air drop delivery systems, solar, etc )
  • Familiarity with programming languages such as C++, Java, etc
  • Competent with large-scale, distributed, federated system architectures, database technologies, virtualization methodologies, wired/wireless data communications, fiber optics, network and cyber security.
  • Familiarity with engineering tools such as MATLAB, LabVIEW.
  • Understanding of Model Based Systems Design
  • Knowledge of DOORs or similar requirements management tools.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office based tools to include Visio.
  • Knowledge of networks and cyber security desired.
  • Ability to write and deploy system processes
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain a government security clearance.
