Job Description Summary
About This Role
Supply chains don't run themselves - they're built by people who know how to anticipate, negotiate, and deliver. As a Lead Sourcing Specialist at GE Vernova, you'll be at the center of a global procurement operation, driving commodity strategies for Gas Turbine components and making sure the right parts arrive at the right time. If you thrive in a fast-moving environment where your decisions have real operational impact, this role was built for you.

Job Description

What You'll Do

  • Own the procurement cycle - create and release Purchase Orders (POs) on time to support the master manufacturing schedule, keeping the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system current with scheduling changes and cancellations.
  • Drive supplier relationships - collaborate with suppliers and Materials Resource Planners to manage fulfillment, resolve scheduling conflicts, and maintain on-time delivery performance.
  • Lead sourcing strategy - apply sourcing policies and lead material initiatives for the strategic sourcing team, including deflation activities, supply change risk mitigation, lead time reduction, and payment terms improvement.
  • Support new product growth - contribute to New Product Introduction (NPI) programs and cash flow improvement initiatives across a global, matrixed supply chain.
  • Bridge technical and commercial needs - provide guidance to suppliers on compliance with engineering drawings and specifications, and coordinate with Operations, Shop Scheduling, and configuration control teams.
