Wells Fargo Bank N.A. seeks a Lead Software Engineer in Mclean, VA.
Job Role and Responsibility:
Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs associated with technology domain, including upgrades and deployments. Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals. Lead complex technology initiatives including those that are companywide with broad impact. Act as a key participant in developing standards and companywide best practices for engineering complex and large-scale technology solutions for technology engineering disciplines. Review and analyze complex, large-scale technology solutions for tactical and strategic business objectives, enterprise technological environment, and technical challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors, including intangibles or unprecedented technical factors. Make decisions in developing standard and companywide best practices for engineering and technology solutions requiring understanding of industry best practices and new technologies, influencing and leading technology team to meet deliverables and drive new initiatives. Collaborate and consult with key technical experts, senior technology team, and external industry groups to resolve complex technical issues and achieve goals. Telecommuting is permitted up to 2 days a week. Position must appear in person to the location listed as the work address.

Required Qualifications:
Degree required: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Information Studies, or a related technical field.
Amount and type of experience required: 5 years of experience in the job offered or in a related position involving software engineering experience.
Specific skills required:
- Software engineering experience;
- Experience in writing clear, performant, and maintainable code in Golang, C++, and Rust;
- Experience with containerization and container orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes;
- Experience in multi-threading, concurrency, and parallel processing, web services, distributed systems, and scalability challenges; and
- Experience in building cybersecurity or risk/fraud products deployed into production.
Salary: $175,427 - $224,000 per year.
