JOB DESCRIPTION

As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Chief Technology Office - Identity and Access Management team, you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. As part of Next Generation Engineering Identity Governance team, you will contribute towards technically diverse ecosystem using a mixture of vendor products, custom in-house built solutions, conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives.

Job responsibilities 

  • Enhanced knowledge of application, data and infrastructure architecture disciplines with an understanding of architecture and design across all systems proficiency in developmental toolsets
  • Collaborate with high-performing teams and individuals throughout the firm to accomplish common goals; High performing individual contributor, responsible to maintain business critical platforms and deliver high ROI business features
  • Work collaboratively in an Agile Feature team setup with team members located across different locations and time zones. Contribute to delivery success across teams as a technology coach and lead developer
  • Monitor production activities/processes to ensure timely and effective reporting, tracking, follow-up and communication of problems to internal and external clients, technical resources
  • Develop and deliver streamlined solutions to support JPMorgan Chase Controls, Compliance, Legal, HR and IT Risk agendas.
  • Provide access control governance and identity services for all lines of Business (LOBs) globally. Providecomprehensiveset of software applications and tools to implement,monitorand manage technology risk solutions.
  • Responsible for software design, analytics, development,testingand application programmingin order tosatisfy both business and functional requirements.
  • Executes technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
  • Proactivelyidentifieshidden problems and patterns in data and uses these insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture
  • Contributes to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies
  • Adds to team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Formal training or certification onsoftware engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Java, J2EE, Spring Framework, and Hibernateincluding messaging services
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Maven, Ant, GIT, or Eclipse/IntelliJ
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Oracle, Mongo DB, SQL, and PL/SQL
  • Demonstrated knowledge of IAM open standards such as SCIM and OpenID Connect
  • Experience designing and developing multi-tier Web based applications
  • Experience designing, developing, andmaintainingenterprise Java Software Solutionsincluding service-oriented architecture and web services
  • Experience in developing, debugging, andmaintainingcode in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages
  • Overall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle
  • Solid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security
  • Demonstrated knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)
