Description

Job Summary:
Acts as project Site Safety Lead for specifically assigned projects. May leads a team of site safety professionals to administer an effective safety program that supports safety goals. Designated to particular, large or complex projects, to provide job-specific safety support. Enforces current safety policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:
• Jobsite Inspections: Conducts regular jobsite safety inspections for projects of all size and complexity a designated large or complex project. Records findings for site and safety leadership. Oversees and reviews inspections of other safety professionals on-site.
• Safety Training and Orientation: Prepares and presents appropriate safety training to team members and managers based on safety needs of the site. In addition, conducts new hire safety orientations and facilitates the project-specific onboarding process. Reviews and guides training and orientation conducted by on-site Site Safety.
• Accident Investigation: Ensures site treatment and accident investigation protocols are followed in the event of an incident on site for designated project. Acts as an escalation point for on-site Site Safety when there are accident investigation issues.
• Pre-Task Safety Meetings: Oversees pre-task safety meetings, facilitating managers to assure all known and potential hazards are addressed.
• Project Safety Committee: Organizes and actively participates in the project safety committee. Communicates company concerns and provides feedback on recently implemented safety policies.
• Mentorship: Supports new team members to achieve training and onboarding goals by actively sharing knowledge, best practices, and insights. Identifies and communicates training challenges to leadership.

Requirements:
• 7-10 years of site safety experience or 10+ years construction field experience. Experience working on large or complex projects preferred. Leadership experience preferred.
• Associate's Degree or Technical Training Program Completion or equivalent experience
• Ability to obtain relevant safety certification(s)
• Minimal travel
• Heavy physical demand
