Job DescriptionWhat you’ll do
- Create, troubleshoot, and debug robotic systems to ensure efficient and safe operation
- Validate robotic motion programs for shop floor applications
- Work cross-functionally and with Engineering teams to identify tooling, process parameters or new equipment designs
- Provide daily operator support in the form of robotic programming and troubleshooting support
- Develop new robotic automation process technology
- Generate and support workstation instructions as needed
- Initiate, lead, and participate in process improvement projects to improve safety, quality, cost and delivery
- Provide effective communication regarding program execution and performance across multiple internal cross-functional teams
- Work effectively as an individual and in a team-based environment in a matrixed organization.
- Work effectively in a fast-paced environment while embracing and driving positive change inside and outside the organization when appropriate
What you’ll bring (Basic Qualifications)
- Bachelor’s Degree, Associate’s Degree, or Machinist Apprentice (or similar) graduate with 3 years of experience with robotic programming [OR] High School Degree w/6 years of experience with robotic programming
- 3+ years robotic programming experience with Roboguide, RobotStudio, KUKA.sim, or other similar robotic simulation and programming software
What will make you stand out
- Bachelor degree in Engineering, Physics, or Computer Science
- Experience with high-current, single-pass welding parameters (e.g., managing travel speed, amperage, and gas flow to maintain keyhole stability)
- Familiarity with weld tracking systems (laser or tactile) and vision systems used for real-time monitoring of the keyhole
- Familiarity with robotic automated blend or thermal spray systems
- Proficiency with Python, C++, Java, RAPID, or KAREL
- Familiarity with thermal spray coatings including Air Plasma Spray (APS) and High Velocity Oxygen Fuel (HVOF)
- Familiarity with FANUC robotic and automation systems
- Proficiency at robot I/O management and troubleshooting robotic systems logic
- Experience programming PLC’s & HMI’s
- Demonstrated proficiency interpreting drawing requirements.
- Ability to multi-task and productively manage multiple projects concurrently.
- Experience with Siemens NX CAD software
This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. If applicable, final offers will be contingent on ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information from the U.S. Government.
For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $91,700.00 and $152,700.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.
Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
